I used this product to put food in that I cooked,I don't like cooking so I cooked up different food and seal them up an put them in the freezer.the food will stay fresh in the bags and when I got ready to eat I would just put the bags in a pot of hot water and boil it for 15 minutes until the food get really hot.I wished that the bags was seal at one end.But I am glad I have them with Thangivings coming I can freeze the left overs.

Yes, Geryon brand bags are safe to boil in water. These are also great for sous vide cooking! Just be careful not to let the bag touch the bottom of the pan.
Yes, these bags are able to be used for sous vide. You can heat cooked foods in a Geryon bag in a simmering pot. The bags should never be used to cook raw foods. Only place bags with frozen food inside the simmering water. The coldness of the food will keep the bag from becoming too hot while the food is heating up. Temperatures above 170 degrees F can possibly compromise the integrity of the bags depending on how the bags were stored, handled, or used after purchase. This is why we recommend the consumers do not use temperatures over 170 degrees F
