I believe so. Just the amount of functions it does. I have the 6 qt and if there isn't a mode for what I'm looking to do I use the manual cook mode. Never have had a problem. You can look up most anything you want to cook and it will give you the function and time for cooking.

Cook time is very efficient! It does take 15 or more minutes to come up to pressure and start the cook timer, and also about 10 or more minutes to release the pressure at the end.…

The 15 psi is the highest pressure …I love this for my large cuts of meats…and canning a few jars at a time……using the automatic steam release kinda scared me at first ……then I set it the next level down …… not so much steam release at one time …I can handle this……the Sous vibe was an extra bonus …I have never tasted steak this good …I have two other models …I think the digital display is much easier on this one ……the max……overall I’m pleased
You could cook a very small turkey. I would estimate not more than 8 to 10 You could cook a turkey up to about 8 lbs. You cannot full the insta pot more than 2/3 full for safety so I believe you would be better off roasting your turkey. Having said that I cook a whole chicken along with an onion, carrots, celery and broth and make great soup.

Recipe can be cooked for the same amount of food in the 8 qt. If you are talking about increase the recipe to a 8 qt that would be a percentage increase but seasoning isn’t that easy.

Great question! The 6 quart units can comfortably prepare 6 cups of uncooked rice at a time. When cooking starchy foods, it is best not to fill your inner cooking pot beyond the 1/2 mark, indicated on the interior of the cook pot.

So far I like it. I've made a couple of large batches of hot and sour soup that came out very well. There's a bit of a learning curve and it's good to watch some videos on youtube to get you going. I'm looking forward to trying out more recipes.

However I couldn’t beat the price when I saw this on amazon and that it even came with some of the accessories. In just the month I have had it I already made hard boiled eggs with the steamer, moist chicken and a roast. Being on the go with a often demanding work schedule can make dinner prep stressful but this device has helped me serve dinner effortlessly and quickly! I can’t wait to use it more and I even want to try some of the recipes in the provided recipe booklet.
