I realize this question was asked a while ago but here's my experience. This makes great Dosa. Just make sure that you season it enough. Also it makes better and better dosa the more you use it. Another thing. If you intend you primarily make dosa in this, then don't use it for other preparations.
Yes. Seasoning is easiest in the oven using lard. takes several hours for the whole process. Do a search online for "seasoning cast iron" and you will find many good videos to help.
