WOW Experience

…Made dosa (an Indian Dish) a few times, wow - yummmm. made some curries, haven't started using for tomato based preparations, may be after a while.…

Tried to make dosa after washing and putting little oil and spreading with paper towel. Dosa got stuck to the pan. couldn't take it out. I wanted to use it for making curries and dosa. That's why got the skillet. Any suggestions? Did any body use it for cooking Indian curries. Is it good for that? Thanks

I realize this question was asked a while ago but here's my experience. This makes great Dosa. Just make sure that you season it enough. Also it makes better and better dosa the more you use it. Another thing. If you intend you primarily make dosa in this, then don't use it for other preparations.

Tried making dosa after putting some oil.dosa got stuck to the pan. planning to take make dosa and curries (veggies) in this.do i season it in oven?

Yes. Seasoning is easiest in the oven using lard. takes several hours for the whole process. Do a search online for "seasoning cast iron" and you will find many good videos to help.
