The Broken Skull provides a 4-inch blade and is part of a line of signature edition folding knives designed in collaboration with Mr. Steve Austin. Limited edition, the Broken Skull has been developed to reflect Steve's personal taste in knives. It features a wide, flat ground clip-point blade that makes daily cutting chores and even skinning game a breeze. Black DLC (diamond like) coated for superior scratch resistance, the Broken Skull's blade is hair popping sharp straight out of the box. And, because it's made from American CTS XHP powdered steel, it will keep that screaming edge for a long time. The Broken Skull's handle scales are made from American G-10 and shaped for a superb grip while still being thin, light and smooth enough to make it effortless to carry these knives all day long. Barely moving the scale at a featherweight 3 oz, the Broken Skull won't weigh you down or fill your pockets with added bulk. Type: Pocket KnivesColor: Blue, Tan, Grey, Green, Pink, Orange

kinda ironic since the name (Broken Skull) and the dude (Steve Austin) the blade is inspired by are still rather over-the-top.
Overall, love the knife, hate the garish lettering on the blade.
Love the slim profile of the handle and the blade grind and geometry - full flat grind and clip point.
Solid lock up but I adjusted the pivot to allow for one handed open and close.
CTS XHP blade is excellent and came factory sharp.
G-10 scales feel sufficiently grippy without being too aggressive like Recon 1, thus more suited for EDC duties
without destroying pants pockets. I still sandpapered the pocket clip side to prevent premature pocket wear.
It's almost a prerequisite for carrying G-10 scaled Cold Steel knives.
I really dislike Cold Steel pocket clips. Just too damn unnecessarily stiff.
I have to have them bent slightly off the scale to easily insert them in the pocket without fiddling with clip.
I wish their clips were more like Spydercos; they do the best pocket clips.
The pocket clip is very sturdy……almost too sturdy. It is so rigid and tight, that I have trouble clipping it onto the reinforced knife pocket on my cotton 5.11 pants. On thinner pants, it’s not as much of a problem. Also, taking some light sandpaper to the G10 scales under the clip would help. It’s nice to know that the knife will never come out of your pocket, but the grippy scales and tight pocket clip do not facilitate a fast draw.
The Broken Skull has the Triad-Lock, which is pretty much bulletproof. There is no play between the blade and the handle. One of the reasons I purchased this knife was because of the safety the Triad-Lock affords. The lock can hold hundreds of pounds of weight without failing.
It does have some downsides though. Since it’s a lock-back type design, there is some “negative pressure” that keeps the blade closed when not in use, which means that when you deploy the blade with your thumb, you’re going to have to give it some extra force to get it to open. This isn’t a knife you’re going to flick open with your wrist (which is the case with most smaller Cold Steel folders).
As far as the name goes - I thought it sounded a little goofy or rough at first, but it's grown on me a little and now I think it adds a little character to the knife.
For a 3 oz, full-size, high quality, VERY thin 4" folder, you can't beat it.
It’s styling is subtle for sure, but all of its components are high end: G10 handle, excellent steel, the indestructible triad-lock and OMG sharp. PLUS its incredible light and slender. This is as close to being a perfect EDC that a 4” bladed knife could be. Cold Steel has finally made a large folder for those of us who don’t need our knives to look like a bladed-version of viagra. Well done!
I got mine in the bright orange - I wanted a bit of flash.
