Just to be clear on what this is, it is a tiny backup flashlight. It will never be the primary flashlight you pick up for anything if you have a choice. Having said that, it is great for what it is. It is very well made and quite sturdy. It fits on my keychain and is with me all the time. You would be surprised how often you need a flashlight and have to get by with your phone or go look for a flashlight. This is really a handy item to have on your keychain and forget about it or use the included clip and clip it on your hat.
The diffuser works pretty well if you want to light up a tent or use it to read at night. It will light up a small room or tent easily.
When using the brightest beam (without diffuser) the beam is pretty bright, not blinding, but bright. The medium beam is a good general purpose brightness that won't drain the battery and the lowest beam is perfect for using at night around a campsite with night adjusted eyes. You simply twist the end of the light to switch between modes.
If you are like me and just looking for an extra flashlight that you can carry everywhere without having to think about it, this is a great item. I actually have an everyday carry flashlight (Olight S1R) that I carry with me all the time, but occasionally I forget it. This is a nice backup.
Edit: I have been using this for a year and I have changed the batteries once. I actually use this all the time. The finish has been wearing off (as you can see in the photo I added) and I like the look of it. The more I use this light, the more I like it. Very handy piece of kit that I'm very satisfied with. Great purchase!
