Hello, I'm Chef Perry P. Perkins, a third generation professional chef, instructor, and cookbook author. I'm classically trained in French technique, and focus my love of cooking on barbeque, traditional southern fare, and fresh Northwest cuisine.
I'm the executive chef at SimplySmartDinnerPlans, and operate (with two other amazing chefs) the non-profit MY KITCHEN Outreach Program, teaching hands on cooking classes for at-risk kids.
I'm an author, food writer, and novelist, and have written for hundreds of magazines, everything from Writer's Digest and Guideposts, to American Hunter and Bassmaster Magazine. My inspirational stories have been included in fifteen Chicken Soup anthologies, as well.
