About Dr. Andy Williams
After graduating from Hull University (North Humberside, UK), I went on to do a Ph.D. at Cardiff University where I studied endocrinology in fish. After working as a research associate at Cardiff University I decided I wanted to be a teacher, so went back to University (this time Birmingham) to study for a teaching certificate.
My first teaching job took me to Tenerife, Spain where I met my wife to be. After a spell of teaching in Madrid, we went back to Tenerife. Two kids later, we now live in North Wales.
On a day to day basis, I write "How To" books and create courses related to websites, SEO and other topics of interest to anyone running a website.

WordPress Security for Webmaster 2021: How to Stop Hackers Breaking into Your Website (Webmaster Series)
Feb 15, 2021
$3.99
In 2018, a report by infosecurity-magazine.com suggested that WordPress accounted for 90% of all hacked sites, up from 83% in 2017. WordPress is a target for hackers because of its huge user-base. Fortunately for you, WordPress's “core” is very secure. Unfortunately for you, hackers find their way into sites because of mistakes made by site administrators and security holes in third-party addons like plugins and themes. One report I read suggested that 98% of WordPress vulnerabilities are related to plugins. Another, more conservative report suggested that figure was 52%, but it’s still a large number. Another statistic showed that 8% of WordPress websites were hacked because of weak passwords. According to Sucuri, 61% of infected WordPress sites are out of date. WordFence, a company specializing in WordPress security, said there were 90,000 attacks per minute on WordPress websites.
With an estimated 30,000+ websites being hacked every day, website security has to be be a main concern for anyone running a website, no matter how small.
Hacked sites can be used for a variety of purposes, such as redirecting your traffic, stealing customer details, deleting files, changing your login details to lock you out, sending spam emails to millions of people, SEO for the hackers site, and so on.
And don’t think that your small, insignificant site is safe from hackers. To a hacker, a site is a site. They’ll use computer software to scan millions of websites for vulnerabilities and then attack the soft targets. There is no softer target than a newly setup Wordpress website that’s run from someone’s bedroom.
There is obviously good reason to be concerned about your website security. However, I don't want you to think that Wordpress is an insecure platform that should be avoided, it isn't. Wordpress is actually very secure and if a security hole is found, it is usually plugged very quickly by the Wordpress security team and pushed out to all Wordpress installs - automatically.
The real security issues come from the people running the websites. They often don't have enough knowledge to make educated decisions about the content they put on their site, the plugins they use, or the themes they install.
This book has two aims:
1. I want to give you the knowledge you need so that you can understand where the main threats come from. With that knowledge, you will understand how your administrative actions can affect the security of your website. This knowledge gives you the power to stop hackers.
2. I want to give you a step-by-step solution to make your website as hackproof as possible. We'll install a single Wordpress plugin and go through the entire setup process. Simply follow along on your own site as I secure one of my own. Security plugins can lock you out of your dashboard if you try to enable features not supported by your web host, but this book takes a cautious route so that shouldn't happen. However, if it does, relax. I'll show you the fool-proof way of getting back into your dashboard without losing anything.
If you are not very technically minded, don't worry. This book assumes no technical ability and no programming skills.

Use the Power of LSI and Themes to Boost Website Traffic with Visitor-Grabbing, Google-Loving Web Content
How to Write Great Website Content in 2021 has been fully updated with the latest information on creating the type of content that search engines like to rank.
While updating the book for 2021, something was again confirmed. Every page that Google is showing in the SERPs shares something in common. It's something that can be measured, and I've measured it, just like I have every year for the last decade. But more on that inside.
Another thing became blatantly obvious. Despite numerous algorithm changes, one thing has not changed. Google STILL wants to show the best web pages to its users. But what constitutes the "best"?
The answer is quite simple - the best content is the content that the visitors want to see.
Not very helpful?
This book is packed with practical and actionable advice on what Google actually wants, and how you can deliver it with a simple mindset shift - by thinking in terms of "share-bait" and "link bait".
Share bait is content that your visitors want to share with their friends, family and followers.
Link bait is the type of content that other webmasters, who have the power to link out to other content, will want to link to.
Creating this type of content will give you an unfair advantage as your content has a better chance of not only ranking well, but sticking in the search engines.
How to Write Great Website Content in 2021 is a book packed with ideas, tips and strategies, for creating the most captivating, inspiring and fascinating content for your web site. By keeping your visitors happy, you won't have to worry about search engine algorithm changes, or Google slaps. The search engines will want to show your content to their users.
In this book, learn:
* about Google's constant struggles against spam, and how you can turn all the rules to your advantage.
* how we used to write content, and why keyword-focused content no longer works.
* where to go to find out exactly what Google wants from the pages it displays in the SERPs.
* how to use "footprints" and other techniques for finding the very best, shareable and linkable content ideas.
* about the variety of different types of content you can create and publish on your website.
* how to find the words and phrases that are essential to include in your own content, no matter what you are writing about.
* how to write web content to include all of the ideas in this book, including LSI, theme and SEO.
* how you can add additional features to your website to keep visitors coming back for more.
About the author:
Andy Williams has been teaching search engine optimisation and content creation since 2004. In 2008, he was teaching his own students methods for creating "future-proof" content that is only now becoming mainstream with SEOs and webmasters who know their stuff. This book teaches you his latest methods.

I would never have attempted to publish my own books at any other time in our history. That’s a bold statement...
The thing is, the Kindle revolution has made it so easy that if you aspire to be a published author, now IS the time. Today, you don’t have to send out hundreds of letters to publishers or agents. You don’t have to receive hundreds of rejection letters back. Use the Power of LSI and Themes to Boost Website Traffic with Visitor-Grabbing, Google-Loving Web Content
How to Write Great Website Content in 2020 has been fully updated with the latest information on creating the type of content that search engines like to rank.
As I was updating the book, one thing became clear.
How to Write Great Website Content in 2020 is a book packed with ideas, tips and strategies, for creating the most captivating, inspiring and fascinating content for your web site.
WordPress Security for Webmaster 2020: How to Stop Hackers Breaking into Your Website (Webmaster Series)
Mar 11, 2020
$3.69
In 2018, a report by infosecurity-magazine.com suggested that WordPress accounted for 90% of all hacked sites, up from 83% in 2017.
If you are not very technically minded, don't worry. This book assumes no technical ability and no programming skills.
