Marc Maxmeister, PhD - Marc is a neuroscientist turned Innovation Consultant who created GlobalGiving's story-centered learning method. This provides organizations with a richer, more complex view of the communities they serve through a combination of local storytelling and big data heuristics. He was formerly a Peace Corps Volunteer in The Gambia (1999-2001) and did a Fulbright research project around the impact of computers and the Internet on rural education in West Africa. He has visited 54 countries and lived in 5. He was the NANOWRIMO coordinator for Kenya in 2011. He loves to teach, and has taught graduate-level Neuroscience at Kenyatta University in Kenya and python to middle school students in London, UK. He tries to e-publish a new book each month. So far, you can find books from him about ebola, warlords, Trello, and computers in Africa.
