what is the difference between this card and the one from SanDisk that is exactly the same except the model # ends in 046 instead of AFFP?

The AFFP is Amazon Frustration Free Packaging. No difference in card. Hope this helps.

the 016G or 032G, of course, specifies the capacity in gigabytes; the A31, A21 and X46D etc. identify the different manufacturing sites/locations where the cards were made. Whereas AFFP stands frustration free packaging. Card performance is same.
