How different than using micro to USB cable That comes with most chargers? What obvious point am I missing?

Two that I can think of:
1. It provides a USB Female end (socket) not a USB Male of most cables so you can plug in mice, keyboards, etc.
2. It support USB OTG (On the Go) that allows the Android device to act as a master (or host).
