It is a great film, pay no attention to all of the juvenile reviews saying how "boring" it is. This is NOT a "shoot-em-up" type of western, but an atmospheric, reflective one. I guess you should have a longer attention span than 10 minutes in order to appreciate this fine film. Hopefully, a director's cut is indeed in the offing.

I do hope that a director's cut will be forthcoming. I am in total agreement with Richard about ignoring the juvenile reviews. And I agree with you that it's a great film and hugely underrated. My guess is that the torch will be picked up in future years and this film will eventually get the recognition it deserves.

This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. If there were a director's cut released, I would snap it up in a heartbeat.

I just purchased the blu ray 2 disc set of Wyat Earp (the Kevin Costner version) and the assasination of Jesse James. In the James film, there are several scenes where the center of the picture is in focus but the sides are blurred. Does anyone know if this is part of the film or a defect on my disc?
