does it rotate vertical photos?

Yes it does, but I edit the vertical images as vertical, so that is how they are loaded. It also rotates according to the orientation of the unit.

Yes, it does. I believe it uses the orientation flag in the EXIF data.

Side note - I bought four of these for myself and family members a year ago and we couldn't be happier with them. I count it a 5-star buy.

Yes, but the picture will be short on top and bottom. Cant fill the frame. Hope that helps.

Yes. Also, if you accidentally load a photo in the wrong orientation, you can correct it on the device itself

The answer is 'YES". The viewer will rotate your photos automatically.

Yep- Just rotate the frame, set it on end, (the stand is mounted so it supports the frame upright in either position) and the pictures will automaticly rotate to the proper orientation.
