Excellent Stuff

If there is a valve book out there I don't already own or have not read, it is probably written on parchment and lost with the balance of the Dead Sea scrolls. The author of this book, Phil Skousen, takes an approach that I have not seen in other books of this type and it struck me as the most correct and appropriate approach ever. After all, what do valves do? They control liquids (gases, water, chemicals, slurries, etc.). So why not start the book there, with the fundamental behavior of fluids? Most valve experts assume the reader has as much background knowledge of the subject as the author does and that simply is not the case where the majority of readers are concerned. If the reader did have all that knowledge already, why would they buy a book about it? Anyway, I'm thinking of selling my collection of other valve books and keeping just this one. So if you are interested...wait; why would you buy my old books when I just told you this is the only one you need? Oh well, marketing was never my strength I guess.
