The plants are arranged according to height, with the ground-huggers appearing first and the trees last. Each plant is also cross-referenced by common and scientific names.

The authors have written this book with the novice forager in mind, including useful tips on foraging from where to search for food to precautions to take. They also provide a list of toxic look-alikes, a nutrient composition chart, and a glossary of terms.

Very informative book, I'm not very educated and don't really know what specific parts of plants are, but the drawing and descriptions are good enough that I immediately recognized all kinds of plants that grow in my yard. I also like how there is two recipes for each plant, I can't wait to try chicory coffee!

This is a great book especially if you're relatively new to foraging. It's well put together and the drawings are accurate. If you want to learn about edible wild plants you'd want to buy several books and train the eye with the help of both botanical drawings and photographs and this is one of the books you'd want to get. Highly recommend it.
