Delighted with this Faithfull Wookie book!! First of all, I love curious Star Wars books, in particular if they are colourful, well-illustrated and full of hippie-esque 1970 ’s art. Second, this embodies the renaissance / canonisation of at least part of the long-verboten Holiday Special. Third, we have quite a collection of these well-presented, hard cover Little Golden Books, that are simply a delight to read.
As is always the case with Little Golden Books, the narrative, though short, perfectly captures the essence of the story. The art deviates from the loose style that is commonly found in Little Golden Books, and is very close to the cartoon. Nevertheless the art is wonderful, with lots of pale green and pink. Luke and Han have likeness issues, and Boba runs around in his light grey/ khaki suit - but this all adds tot he exotic nature of this 24-page book. Note that it is here that Boba is riding a huge monster, something that he refers to in the Book of Boba Fett.
