Cap'n Fatty Goodlander has lived aboard various sailing vessels for 54 of his 62 years. He has written numerous books--including his autobiographical comedy "Chasing the Horizon." At various times, Fatty has been a professional actor, a radio broadcaster, and a newspaper writer. He also had a series of summer travel spots for National Public Radio which are available at NPR.org, and which he has humorously recounted in "NPR & Me."

He and his wife, Carolyn, are currently cruising Southeast Asia aboard their 43-foot ketch "Ganesh." They completed their second circumnavigation in 2011...and started on their third trip around in 2013. They expect to complete circ #3 in a decade or two.

Cap'n Fatty is a featured columnist in All At Sea and an Editor-at-Large of Cruising World magazine.
