An Abridged Koran: The Reconstructed Historical Koran (The Islamic Trilogy) Paperback – Abridged, May 30, 2006
Purchase options and add-ons
The standard Koran is arranged by length of chapter. The longest chapter is at the beginning and the shortest chapters are at the end. This makes it confusing and hard to understand. You can read and understand AN ABRIDGED KORAN. The words of the Koran are woven back into Mohammed's life. This is the way the Koran unfolded in the first place. It was recorded over the course of Mohammed's life.
AN ABRIDGED KORAN recreates the historical order of the Koran of Mohammed's day. The first chapters start with Mohammed's first recitation and the last chapters are those he recited before he died. Mohammed's life gives the Koran clarity, meaning, and order. When the Koran and Mohammed's life are brought together, the Koran becomes a powerful epic story.
AN ABRIDGED KORAN is identical to A SIMPLE KORAN except it has all of the repetition removed. For instance, the story of Moses and the Pharaoh is told 39 times. In AN ABRIDGED KORAN the story is told only once. Read AN ABRIDGED KORAN. It will change the way you see the world.

About the Author
Bill Warner holds a PhD in physics and math. He has been a university professor, entrepreneur and applied physicist.
Dr. Warner has had a life-long interest in religions and their effects on history. His study of Islam started in 1970, but became his singular focus after the horrific events of 9/11.
Dr. Warner's scientific training shaped how he analyzed Islamic foundational doctrine. In this collection of innovative works, Dr. Warner uses statistical methods to simplify and illustrate undeniable, fact-based findings about the world of Political Islam. Furthermore, all understanding of Islamic history and current events must be done in the light of the Islamic doctrine found in the Trilogy--the Koran, Sira (Mohammed's biography) and Hadith (Mohammed's traditions).
Dr. Warner's writing is easy to follow and understand. You do not need to be a scholar to understand these books.
If we understand the world of Political Islam then we can understand why certain Islamic events are happening around us and maybe even how we can begin to stop them. It is for this reason that Dr. Warner started the Center for the Study of Political Islam.

About the author

BILL WARNER, Ph.D. is a highly respected expert on political Islam. In 2006, he founded the Center for the Study of Political Islam (CSPI) to further the study of the politics of the ideology of Islam and its ramifications for Western Civilization. Warner defines political Islam as that part of Islamic doctrine which concerns the non-Muslim.
Warner is the author of fifteen books, including the Amazon bestseller, Sharia Law for Non-Muslims, which is published in 20 languages. His Simple Koran is the first Koran that can be easily understood by integrating Mohammed’s life into the Koran verses. This method gives a context to the book which makes the meaning transparent. All his books are concise and easy to understand.
Warner has published numerous articles on the topic of Political Islam and is a prolific video blogger with over 150 videos dedicated to commentary and education on this subject. His video, “Why We Are Afraid”, has over four million views.
Warner has led seminars and given public talks throughout the United States and Canada, and internationally in Central Europe and the Balkan countries.
In 2013, he established CSPI International (CSPII), a volunteer, non-profit organization, based in Brno, Czech Republic, with affiliates around the globe. CSPII translates & publishes Warner’s books world-wide, provides trainings & lectures, and does research on political Islam.
Warner created the first self-study courses on political Islam. His books give an overview of the complete Islamic doctrine and address how the doctrine is applied to world events. CSPI books are also available as a web-based community learning platform.
Bill Warner holds a PhD in physics & applied mathematics from North Carolina State University. He has been a research scientist at the Sarnoff Princeton Labs, a business owner of an energy efficiency company and a university professor.
Methodology
Dr. Warner holds that the totality of the true nature of Islam is found in the Trilogy of the Koran, the Sira (the biography of Mohammed) and the Hadith (the traditions of Mohammed). All evaluation of Islamic history and current activity is caused by the doctrine found in this Trilogy. Therefore, it is impossible to understand any Islamic action without knowing the doctrine that is its cause.
Warner postulates that there are three independent views of Islam that are not reconcilable. The three views are believer-centric, apologist-centric and Kafir- centric. The believer-centric view is the view of a Muslim. Apologist-centric is based upon the apologetic view of non-Muslims. Kafir-centric is the view of the non- Muslim. A comprehensive knowledge of Islam must include all three. These views cannot be resolved, but each must stand alone.
Warner’s training in scientific theory and mathematics shaped how he analyzed Islamic doctrine. Realizing that the Islamic texts had been made deliberately difficult to read and comprehend, he set out to organize the doctrine in a manner that would be easily understood by the average per-son. As he analyzed the foundational Islamic texts, it became clear that Islam is not constructed on the same civilizational principles as the rest of the world. Simple statistical methods revealed that dualism and submission were the foundational principles of Islamic doctrine.
Statistical methods applied to the Islamic texts showed that:
Islam is far more of a political system than a religion.
There is no unmitigated good in Islam for the Kafir (non-Muslim).
Islam’s ethical system is dualistic and is not based on the Golden Rule.
Islamic doctrine cannot be reconciled with our concepts of human rights and our Constitution.
The great majority, 96%, of all Islamic doctrine about women subjugates them.
The Sunna (what Mohammed did and said) is more important than the Koran in a Muslim’s daily life.

Simply put: The Koran (Qur'an) together with the Sira and Hadith becomes a diatribe of "Do's" that dictatorially eliminates freedom of choice and simultaneously infuses mankind with a suffocating Fear of Death without Martyrdom. In contrast, the Chrisitan Bible written over a period of 1500 years by over 40 authors which carries a prophetically detailed story of the establishment of a flawed people who learn from their mistakes are given a mild-mannered righteous Savior who introduces mankind to the core character of God and does not leave a list of "To-Do's", but instead announces "It is Done!"
I have read their book... now I invite them to read one of the 66 books in the library we call The Bible (may I suggest the Book of John)... God will help the reader discern the truth for themselves.
The Center for the Study of Political Islam's (CSPI) new English version of the Koran does the same for political Islam, also called "Islamism" - "Islamicism" - "Islamic fundamentalism" - "Islamofascism" - "Radical Islam" by post-9/11 pundits, theoretically so as to contradistinguish it from putative plain old "Islam." Whether there is any distinction between Islam per se and "political Islam" is, in the last analysis, for the theologians to decide. But, in any event, you can get a great leap forward on your political-Islam learning curve by reading all 216 pages of this brilliant little red paperback book.
According to "An Abridged Koran: Readable and Understandable" (at p. ix), Volume 4 in CSPI's incredible ten-volume series, the Koran is so difficult for your average Western reader because it is organized like a mystery novel from which one has torn out the book's spine, then has the book rebound, not topically, not chronologically, and not logically, but soley according to the length of each chapter! In contrast to all other English versions of the Koran, this book presents VERBATEM quotations from the Koran, in easily readable "newspaper"/middlebrow English, WHICH ARE ORGANIZED topically, chronologically and logically by the CSPI scholar-editors. The only reason this edition is termed "abriged" is that the Koran's many redundant ayas (verses) are excised. For instance, there are over thirty versions of the story of Moses and the Pharaoh. (N.B. If you are a theological purist and want an unabridged version of the Koran, order CSPI's Volume 3, "A Simple Koran: Readable and Understandable" -- 408 pages in length -- which contains every word of the original classic Koran.)
This book comes with a terrific 6-page overview providing all-important context, and a 6-page commentary at the end that is a theological and philosophical tour de force in both depth and in breadth. There is also a helpful one-page bibliography to help the inquiring layman.
*WESTERNER-INFIDELS!*>
Read this groundbreaking Little Red Book, the very best English version of the Koran, the sacred source-text and doctrinal foundation for 1,400 years of political Islam and counting.
It will blow you away!
Warner also simplifies these these contextual sections, and provides precise citations to the original text. On occasion, I did check with one source, Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah, which is accessible online.) In one instance, (at 172) I found that Warner had included a negative characterization that, while it may in fact have been factually accurate, was not in the original source. (at Ibn Ishaq; margin note I764). This is the only clear misstatement I happened to find; in the context of the scope of Warner's work, not a great fault, but still a fault. Through his email, I advised Warner of it; he thanked me and said he would edit it.
This book (and its shorter and longer editions) represents a massive undertaking that, based on authoritative Muhammadan sources, makes this religion/ideology/strategy for subversion widely accessible to the Western public. It is a potentially historic contribution. If we make use of it.
Top reviews from other countries
After reading this you will understand why the Quran is so easy to use to get people to hate and fight, and kill, while others claim it is a tome of peace. It is both. It has two stages. The peaceful stage, and the latter, warring stage. Muslims tend to emulate the peaceful stage when they are weak/low in number. As soon as they are powerful enough they set about warring. This is not (these days) usually physical.....it may be financially by claiming benefits that do not belong to them, or insisting they have halal meat, or denigrating other religions while promoting their own. There are a million ways to wage cultural jihad. Including sexual jihad. All are endorsed by the Quran, as you will discover. The Quran also elevates women in some verses (''heaven is beneath your mother's feet'') while denigating them in others (''Allah made men superior to women''). Bill Warner cleverly went through every single verse that spoke of women and counted which ones elevated women above men, which made them equal, and which lesser. About 2/3rds made women lesser. :(
This is the best aspect of Bill's fantastic work. He does not give a single comment/opinion. He sticks purely to facts.
