Prince Alexander woke up with no memory of who he was or where he was. He definitely didn’t know he was engaged to be married soon or about to become King of Aargau. But, he did know that he was attracted to the woman who was caring for him. She was smart, beautiful and loving. And, he could tell she wanted him as much as he wanted her. But, when Josephine’s father returned to the secluded Greek island where they lived, he knew exactly who Alexander was and he called the authorities to have him taken home to his family.
Josephine and Alexander only had a week together, but it was long enough for her to end up pregnant. How will Alexander react when he finds out?
As soon as I started reading this book, I knew I was going to have a hard time putting it down. I was intrigued by Josephine’s life on a secluded island with her volcanologist father. Then, there was Alexander, the prince who was about to be married, on a bachelor cruise with his friends, who ends up fighting with someone and going overboard and ending up with amnesia. It was fun to read about a hero with amnesia, especially a royal one. The story moved along nicely and had a lot of memorable scenes. How Alexander ended up going overboard remained a mystery through the book and I was surprised to find out how it happened and who was responsible. Reading this book was a pleasurable way to spend a few hours. I only wish it was longer. I would enjoy reading more about these characters.
A & J make for a cute couple.
Josephine saving the prince from drowning……the attraction between them leading to ………pregnancy………marriage.
Nice read.

On the evening that the yacht is to leave the island Josephine spies a passenger falling off the back of the boat. She doesn’t hesitate to jump in the water to rescue the victim, only to find it’s the handsome man who had caught her eye previously. The one she secretly enjoyed sketching.
Josephine is unaware that the man she rescued is actually the future king of Aargau, who is due to marry soon. And the yacht he was on was a bachelor cruise given by his friends as a sendoff from singlehood. He sustained a head injury after falling off the yacht and now suffers from amnesia. Josephine tends to his recovery and they become close. But when her father arrives back at the island, he brings with him information that will change the dynamic of their newly forming relationship.
This is my favorite Jane Porter Harlequin Presents to date! I loved Josephine and her sweet nature. Prince Alexander with his amnesia brings an interesting twist to the story. And then when Josephine discovers something about herself, it’s a total game changer!
