Just the right type of space crew . A captain who wants to be free , keep his ship flying with a crew that will watch your back ,keep you on your toes and make you laugh . Not hard sci-fi but everything gets explained with en reason. You get to know the crew as you go with peices here and there not a stream of bio which is how you get to know people In Real life. The story flows well and centers on the captain and his crew just enough filtration so you know you are reading an adult book . Good mix of male and female characters a female hacker and pilot called ice is hard and soft as a hint to describe one of the crew without giving any spoilers. So yeah if you wanta hop on a starship and run cargo and fight for your life read this book ! I hope many will follow!

Great Start to a Brand New Series

I enjoyed this book so much.

Captain Drake and his space crew pick up jobs via their agent. They are used to some minor 'dodgy' jobs, however their agent is getting a bit too economical with the truth when describing their latest jobs.

Drake and his loyal crew have their particular sets of morals and are very well thought out. You really couldn't put together a better team. Full on action you weren't expecting - and neither were they! - laugh out loud banter, and great insight into all the characters, not just the main ones.

Fantastic start, roll on Book 2!

Star Talon is the first book in the Fortune Hunters series. It's a first person sci-fi adventure told from the perspective of Captain Drake.
Drake and his crew are mercenaries who travel across space and take various jobs (both legal and somewhat questionable) to make a living. On one of these jobs, they're sent to investigate some missing scientists, but what they find instead may destroy them all.
Star Talon is an action packed book that quickly moves from one adventure to the next, full of interesting characters that you just can't help but liking. Can't wait for book 2!

This story is great sci-fi adventure! I really enjoyed this story about Captain Drake and his crew :) If you enjoy this story, be sure to check out the novel "Forced Compliance," released on Feb 6, 2017.

out as I didn't look up until the stage was being set for the sequel.

A rollicking space romp. The only thing missing is some social context. The story is extremely character centered which gives a good feel for the crew, but little about the ship the book is named for or the universe around them. Worth reading but a bit more chrome would add depth.
