Faust is the protagonist of a classic German legend who makes a pact with the Devil in exchange for knowledge. The meaning of the word and name has been reinterpreted through the ages. "Faust" has taken on a connotation distinct from its original use, and is often used today to describe a person whose headstrong desire for self-fulfillment leads him or her in a diabolical direction.

No page numbers, blank white spine, blurry pixelated cover, terrible text formatting. How could anyone uprate this?

Great story but this printed book is terrible. If you want a book with a blank white spine, blurry pixelated cover, and no page numbers of any kind, this is for you. I'm not sure who set the type for this book but it's really disorganized. It's like someone just took a PDF and pasted it into INdesign and sent it off to be printed without looking at the pages. Chapter names appear half way down the page or wherever else they end up, sometimes in bold, sometimes not. Sometimes sentences repeat for no reason on new text lines. There's even a few points when it looks like someone tried to italicize the text using the < i > < /i > html code. Yes this code is printed in the book... WHY?Also if you want the whole story you'll need parts 1 & 2 but this book only contains part 1...

just a book of cut and paste from other books, very difficult to read.

Beware of CreateSpace books if you care at all about how your books look and feel. These are cheap reproductions of books that are available now on the Internet. The cover art isn't even in focus on this one. Unfortunately Amazon not only doesn't make this clear at the top of the page (you have to look at the publisher info to find it), but it also places this book at the top of the list when you search for Faust. This is the second time this has happened to me with Amazon. The good thing is that they credited my account immediately when I complained, and I was able to find a much better version of the book with a bit of careful searching. If I didn't care about the aesthetic experience of reading I'd have gone all-digital by now.

That's what you get for a whopping $9! What a great deal, folks; a book that looks like it was sent to a really shady printing shop and was compiled by someone who just ripped off the text from an online e-book.

In all seriousness, please choose another publisher to order from. The physical book itself is nothing how it looks online. I was so excited to get this book, but when I opened the package I was very disappointed. The cover is extremely pixellated/blurry, as if someone just took a picture off the internet and slapped it on. The paper is low-quality, and the text is formatted really strangely, like if you just typed it up on a word doc.

Amazon, this is the first time you have failed me. :( But yeah, don't order this specific product.

I'm not a fan of ebooks, so I ordered this as a physical copy.
The book is absolutely hideous. The cover is a stretched and pixelated version of the picture in the listing, there is no text at all on the spine, and the formatting within is inconsistent.

It's readable, but it is not at all pretty. I'll be returning this to get a decent print version, not some slapdash version that's just a print-out of an ebook.

Awful 'print on demand' version. Poor quality, typos, printed from a pdf file downloaded from the internet.

    Buy a proper edition.
