My 18 month old absolutely loves this book! Although she no longer nurses, we have a 2 week old and she loves reading this book while her baby brother eats from momma. The illustrations and flow of the book is wonderful. This book does not disappoint!

I absolutely adore this book, and so does my 17 month old son. It's a beautiful book with adorable pictures of animals and their babies, and it really grabs my son's attention. He loves pointing out all the animals, and when he gets to the end with the human baby and mom, he immediately recognizes the nursing baby and usually asks me for milk too.

This book has a positive message for toddlers, and is age-appropriate without taking on any of the darker themes of other kids vegan books I've seen. I highly recommend this book for vegan families who want a cute and positive way to introduce the concept to young toddlers and kids.

My favorite vegan children's book. It's pro breastfeeding and is easy to understand. My baby loves all the different animals with their babies. She gets excited when she sees the human mama with her baby. This book would be a great baby shower gift for a vegan mama.

I love this book so much because the very last page shows a mother and child nursing. I have struggled to find a book that was vegan and also promoted nursing. I was very surprised to see that last page. I really love all of the vegan board books that I have found but this is definitely one of my favorites! Highly recommend.

A simple book and it works! I bought it when my toddler was 2.5 yo, after visiting a friend's home and he didn't understand why he couldn't have my friend's breastmilk. After reading this book a few times, he got it. It explains a simple message, if it's not your mama then her milk is not for you. He understood right away why couldn't he have another human mama or animal mama's milk.

Both of my kids love this book! It is my 1.5 year olds favorite book. He loves the different animals and he always wants to nurse when we are done reading it lol. My 4 year old loves the message as well as the illustrations so it's great all around! I also love that it's a board book so they don't rip it apart as they've been known to do that with other books.

I read this to my 4-month-old every morning! He loves looking at the illustrations of all of the animals. I think it teaches a very simple but important message... not your mom, not your milk! I look forward to purchasing more vegan books from this publisher very soon!

Good pick for dairy-free or vegan households. My kiddo enjoys pointing to all the animals. Perfect for breastfed babies since it shows a nursing mom and baby. Might be weird if you don't breastfeed, though.

This book does a really good job of explaining why our family does not consume the milk of other animals in a very simple way that is easy to understand for small children. The only very small complaint I have is that the end it says mommy's milk belongs to me, and I wish it had stuck with mommy's milk is MADE just for me instead of saying something inside someone else's body could belong to another person. But at the age of the intended audience, I really think this is not that big of a deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book to introduce who milk belongs to

Finally, a book that explains pretty simply that milk belongs to the child of the person who gave the milk! The pictures are simple. The words are repetitive. The message is clear. A great introduction for little ones to the science of milk production and compassion. Can be used from birth as the pictures are fun and the story itself is short. My 2.5 yr old loves looking at this one and gets excited when we get to the human page and the baby is breastfeeding. Something we just dont see often enough. Also a good one for planting the seed of a plant based diet/vegan for children

Love this book so much!!!! My 3 year old niece is obsessed with it. Fantastic, simple and innocent way to help our little ones make the connection between a mother’s milk being for her baby, and only her baby.
