A great book for anyone raising their children to respect all animals.

A great book for anyone raising their children to respect all animals.
A great book for anyone raising their children to respect all animals. Adorable illustrations draw kids in and show them the similarities between humans and non-human animals - reasons why we should leave animals alone and not eat them or take their milk/eggs. I would have loved to see a section on fish/ocean creatures, too, but that might have made the book too long for the attention span of the target audience. I'm reviewing this prior to reading it to my kids, but I'll post a follow-up when I do. Looking forward to reading this with them and maybe their neighborhood friends, too. I think it'll be great for discussion without being too "controversial".

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional book

The illustrations are superb. The story on each animal helped to show my two three year olds that animals play and have feelings just like they do. It helps a whole lot to help them make the right choices when they are offered food. They love their pets and they know that they feel pain and love, that they also love to play. Now they have a good insight to farm animals that they are no different. They have seen on TV that dolphins and whales also play and love their offspring. I would love to see a book depicting those animals too, and other wild life. Good book, great buy. I would recommend this book.

Great quality, bought for my son (2) he LOVES it. Good pictures, not too long and good for learning about animals too and why they're special with their own personalities, just like us
