What sets this book apart is the wealth of information it offers. From the benefits of organic ingredients to practical tips on preparing and storing baby food, it covers everything a parent needs to know. I love how it includes a variety of recipes tailored to different stages of a baby's development, ensuring a gradual and nutritious introduction to solid foods.
The emphasis on natural and chemical-free options resonates with me as a parent, and I appreciate the dedication to the well-being of our little ones. The book is well-written, easy to follow, and filled with beautiful illustrations that make it even more engaging.
I've already tried a few of the recipes, and my baby absolutely loves them! The book has inspired me to be more conscious about the food choices I make for my child, and I feel confident that I am giving them the best start in life with organic baby food. If you're a parent or caregiver looking to provide wholesome and nourishing meals for your baby, this book is a must-have. Highly recommended!
The reason why I don't love this book is one recipe in particular, the blueberry flax muffins, calls for 1/4 cup honey or pure maple syrup which makes 18 muffins. I went to the grocery store and looked at the sugar content of pure maple syrup (since my daughter is under 1, I cannot give her honey so I'm not even sure why that is a suggestion since that recipe is in the 10-12month section), which was 56g. If you divide that into 18 muffins, that's 3g of sugar per mini-muffin. Compare that to eating 60 puffs (which my child eats maybe 10) which is less than 1g sugar. There are a ton of no-sugar muffin recipes out there online so I'm not sure why this recipe was considered a good idea. I try my best to minimize sugar & dairy in her diet.
I would buy it again because it's a great starting point and encompasses all the age ranges for baby food through toddler and I like how the recipes are tempting enough for me to eat them as well.
