The film is too stiff and attracts every single freaking spec of dust and once it's on the adhesive it will not come off. So when you finally get the film onto your device it now has a lovely freaking air bubble surrounding the spec of dust.

I received a screenshield for free with my casemate holder for my iphone and it worked great. It was a softer film and not as crystal clear but that thing resists oil, did not suffer from static electricity which is what these WRITERIGHT pieces of crap do.

I used WRITERIGHT on my wife's nano (got 2 bubbles that you can't squeegee out), on my canon digital rebelxsi (that hardly went on right), and my two Garmin 530hcx GPS handheld radios...I tell you the money I spent on my electronics I should have avoided these cheap things!

Spend the extra money and get a better product! I am going to use these until the better one's come in and trash these worthless things!

These are great for one purpose only: protecting your screen for scratches. Yes, this is what they are intended for. However, the limitations on the visibility of the screen are extremely serious. The screen looks like a completely different device with and without these writerights. I didn't like the idea of cutting them to fit the graffitti area since I have gotten scratches from dragging things in the viewing area.
The biggest drawback of this product is the price. The recommend changing the screen protector once a month but they charge in excess of $30 for a package of 12. What a rip off! For a basically a clear and textured sticker, you're paying a couple of dollars a piece. Seems way overpriced! Especially if you change them at the recommended times. Unfortunately, there are no competitors that I've seen. I'd probably give this 4 stars if the price was better.

I agree with most of the other reviews here. The writeright reducesvisibility of the screen and is tricky to put on correctly, but adds protection and a better writing feel.
I too have cut the covers into small strips to cover the Grafiti writing area only. Just too much screen degradation for me to keep the screen covered on my Palm IIIxe. But very useful for the Grafiti area - where most writing takes place.
All in all, I wish they made ones specifically for only the grafiti writing area. Also, these are overpriced - but you won't find them cheaper anywhere.

I figured i'd buy a pack of these when I bought my Palm III so I wouldnt risk sratching my new gizmo. As they claim they most definitly do: -Protect from scratches -Reduce Glare -Improve Graffiti recognition But as a downside, they do tend to make the screen a little harder to see in dim light. I think they are worthwile, though, and you should definitley buy them, unless you very rarley use your palm.
P.S. DONT touch the adhesive part of the film, because little crud particles get stuck below the film and they are annoying to look at for a month.
    Recommendation: Buy

This is an absolute must have for your palm device, the screen on these units will easily get scratched even if you only use the stylus that comes with your PDA. The screen protector will reduce glare tremendously, and allow you to touch the screen with your fingers without worrying about leaving fingerprints behind. (There will, however be a slight degradation of image quality with the protector in place). I've found that the shield will last well over a month, even with constant use (I run through a set of batteries every week).
    Recommended buy.

I have had my IIIc for about a month now, and I love the little thing. It's a great tool, and I can't imagine how I'd get along without it. I carry it with me everywhere. Since it's become an integral part of my life, I thought I'd by some WriteRights to protect the screen.
I had to do a bit of running around to find WriteRights for the IIIc. These are supposed to be specially designed for color screens. When I finally found a store that had them, I was surprised to see that 12 clear rectangles of plastic, slightly thicker than a piece of paper, cost $20. But I decided to buy them, as I thought that it would be worth it to protect my Palm.
I made three attempts to get the little buggers on my screen. Each time there was a problem: it was crooked, or upside down (what genius put that little advertisement on the bottom of these things?) or otherwise messed up. Finally, on the fourth try, it went. I used the "included squeege tool" (what a joke) to flatten the WriteRight, and turned on my Palm.
    It was a disaster!
    First the screen:
It looks grainy. The white areas are pixelated with red and green, and everything looked blurry. It was like trying to read the screen with glasses of the wrong prescription. If you've ever looked at a polarized sticker - where the image changes when it's viewed from different angles - you have an idea of how the screen will look. Also, brightness was definitely effected. I had to turn it all the way up for the screen to be usable - and you know what that does to battery life.
Next, screen sensitivity. It was shot. I do a lot of on-screen work - not graffiti, and trying to select anything smaller than a large app. icon was almost impossible. Drawing a "line" with the brush tool in TealPaint created a jagged, four-pixel-wide monstrosity. As for writing graffiti itself - have you ever tried to write on the wrong side of a yellow sticky? Ugh.
Frankly, if I hadn't messed up three of these things trying to get them on, I'd take them back today. Not worth the money, or the effort, or the time.
Just say "No!" to Fellowes WriteRights.

I suggest applying the film to the graffiti area only. On my previous PDA's this was the only area of the screen which was scratched eventually. I put one on my new visor three months ago, and it is still fine. By my calculation, at this rate my current supply will last until 2017. A bargain.
