    This is the first of the Splinter Cell game series. It has some detracting game play problems, such as having to put down bodies to open doors, which is actually corrected in the later games, but is still a fun game to play. I'll admit to using online walkthroughs for some of the tougher areas of the game, but upon playing again, I found my own ways to get through the levels. There are plenty of challenges to completing this game in stealth mode, which makes it fun and exciting. I love these Splinter Cell games for the simple fact that they are not your typical shoot-em-up type games, as there are some levels where you will fail if you kill anyone!

    I received it in 2 protective cases. the game was wrapped in plastic, as if it was new. when i took it out of the case, i saw that there was a lot of rings etched on the disc. (They weren't deep) the disc played though. the shipping was quick. it came with its instruction book. the case is undamaged. i recommend buying this game from this producer. (Lost a star due to it having a lot of shallow 360 rings on the bottom of the disc)

    I first played this game when it was released and i had never been presented with such a challenging game. I fell in love with it. The satisfaction you get from beating sc titles is rivaled by few games and worth the trial and error as you get used to the genre and play style. Once you become an sc pro it gets even better being as stealthy as possible and you feel like the worlds greatest bad ass as you sneak around undetected by guards and other enemies. If you havent played an sc game then where better to start than the beginning? If you have played games in the series but not this one, go to the roots of splinter cell and see where it all started.

    This is the Platinum Hits version of Splinter Cell, did I get Splinter Cell? Yes, but not the version I needed.

    I am writing this for collectors and modders alike, I know some collectors would like this to be a consistent listing, now they may have just marked this product the same as the original, but it's not, it has a different barcode and as such should be inventoried differently and not falsly advertised

    If you purely just want to play the game and don't plan on modding your Xbox, then by all means, buy it! I got mine within 2 days (I think) so you can't go wrong there.

    There is depth and advanced gameplay elements from a 19 years old game. It also still looks good.

    It's very difficult and unforgiving and you will fail a lot of times to try again. Super alert AI.

    Do yourself a favor and get a copy of this giant before they run out.
