Developed by Star brite more than 30 years ago, it has since become the standard in the industrial and electrical industries. The Star brite formula is superior to other liquid electrical tapes because it has a vinyl base instead of rubber. Rubber is fine for “dipping” tools to provide a secure grip, but it is not the best way to provide a secure, long-lasting, air- and watertight dielectric seal. Rubber is susceptible to most solvents as well as aging and cracking.
Star brite vinyl-based LET is extremely durable whether used above or below ground or even underwater. It will not crack or peel, remains flexible and is impervious to virtually all solvents when cured.

Laptop power cords, bilge pumps, outdoor exposed wiring, sprinkler pumps, usb cables, timers, underground wiring, headphone cables, outdoor lighting fixtures, instruments. Use anywhere a weatherproof and dependable connection is needed.
Directions:
Stir well before using. Wires or terminal to be sealed must be clean and dry. Brush or dip Star brite" Liquid Electrical Tape on electrical connection area. Allow to dry for 5 minutes and apply second coat if greater thickness of seal is needed. Succeeding coats may be applied at 5 minute intervals to build up extremely thick protection. Product fully cures in 24 hours.

used to combat rust
we initially purchased this product to fix a wire showing in my swim headphones, and it did an ok job. We have a courtyard with a metal decorative fence around it. The fence is suspended between brick columns and the bottom of the metal had begun to rust and corrode. We had cut it off, sanded, primed painted but the rust came back. I thought about dipping the bottoms of the bars in the liquid electric tape and it has worked like a charm! It has been several months and is holding up well. My bars are black so the color wasn't an issue
