Product Description

The extra wide blade on these tapes gives up to longer stand outs and enables easier reading. The exclusive cushion grip gives extra user control and provides impact resistance and the specially designed multi-function hook grabs on the side, top and the bottom. The 3-rivet, corrosion resistant, tru-zero hook allows accurate inside and outside measurements. Mylar wrapped coating extends the blade life up to 10 times longer. Length: 8m (26 ft). Stanley FatMax Blade Armor 8m/26ft 0-33-726

Hook end grabs on side, top or bottom

Securely holds to all building materials, including rounded or odd shaped items and makes it easier to work alone as less need for someone to hold the other end of the tape. Also allows the tape to easily hook on sideways without it collapsing.

Class II accurate

All Stanley tapes comply with European class II standards. This means the maximum permissible tolerance over 3 meters is less than a millimeter.

Blade Armor on the first 100mm of the blade

This reduces the risk of breaking the tape by 95% (on the first 100mm) and helps increase the life of the product by protecting the part of the tape that receives most wear when the blade is retracted.

I bought this tape towards the end of July thinking Stanley Fatmax was a sturdy, reliable make (which I probably still do), however between the day l bought it and the day it broke (November) l had used it around half a dozen times. At the time I was measuring a floor for carpet so it wasn't under any undue strain when the tape came detached from the spring. Tried to fix it but the design of the spring makes it impossible. I actually believe this is a one off as I believe Fatmax has a good reputation in tools and would last a great deal longer normally. However my Fatmax is broken hence the lack of stars

Over the years, I have collected a good number of measuring tapes.

Those that are flimsy, those that don't recoil well and those that seem to give a different measurement each time you use them.

I needed a good tape. This aas recommended to me, saw the reviews and it looked OK.

I wish I had bought this years ago, although I cannot comment on the longevity, it feels substantial and so far hasn't let me down.

Don't be a wally, be a real man / woman and buy one if you need a good tape.

For me the Stanley tape rules are the gold standard.Clear and accurate scales with a durable end hook and all in a case that has the corners rounded off so it doesn't wear holes in pockets.I don't clip it to a belt or pocket because its too easy to scratch surrounding furniture,so this matters.This model isn't as bulky as the larger tape rules and has been my everyday choice for some years.They do eventually wear out,but not until long after lesser versions would have found their way to the bin.

Ive used for quite a while now and so far it has been through alot of work. It has held up very well and still works to this day its easy to read, and the clip pretty much clips onto anything.

One downside is if you get sand inside the tape measure it completely jams it up you just got to un ravel the whole thing and run cloth down it to remove the grit.

But other than that its still sustainable.
