Won’t leave a scent in your skin

This smell doesn’t last. I use the lotion and the perfume (which work together), but the body wash doesn’t. And DO NOT use this in your hair under any circumstances. This will strip your hair and frizz you out like Pert or some crap. As a body wash, it smells heavenly in the shower, but after you rinse, you don’t have that smell lingering on your skin at all. So it’s kind of useless to pay this much for body wash you only smell in the shower. Also, it’s drying. I now only use it to hand wash my delicates, as it will only leave a light scent on clothing.

Don't be fooled...the formula has changed and it no longer has its signature scent

This used to be the ALL TIME amazing scent. Everyone noticed its light fragrance and signature scent, and I used to receive compliments ALL the time, both from colleagues and from students in my classes. Unfortunately, after Coty purchased the product line from Cristina, everything went downhill. There is no signature scent, even if you layer the products (lotion, spritz, perfume, etc.). There's no way anyone can justify the price for a scent that lasts as long as the shower -- BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL FORMULA.

BTW, Coty denies there's anything different about the product, but savvy consumers know a scam when they hear it. Why pay for this when Olay and Dove charge $6/bottle and the result is the same?

I use Philosophy products and love Amazing Grace. This lathers beautifully and smells better than good, clean. And I have never had this happen to me with a bath product but it made me itch. I don't mean in a quiet subdued way I mean like a clawed my skin off of my lower legs. The process of elimination led me to believe it was this product. I took this out of my shower and after a few days, no more itching. I do love Philosophy, and especially Amazing Grace. I still use the fragrance, just couldn't tolerate this particular product. If you can use it, I envy you.

Smells amazing!! It is light and fresh, but also slightly floral and feminine. People are complaining about the Chinese writing on the bottom, but that's literally because it's one of the several languages the label is translated into, i.e. it's supposed to be there.

This product in perfume or soap form, has a soft, clean scent, and is mild on the skin. I use it for both my body and my hair and it doesn't dry either out. I work in a hospital and can't wear strong perfumes as it can cause reactions to people who have COPD. My coworkers and patients, compliment how good I smell when I am up close and in their personal space. The people who have COPD tell me that it does not bother them at all. I have used this for years and continue to love it.

Fragrance No Longer Lasts!

I received Amazing Grace as a gift 3 years ago from a friend who purchased it from Nordstroms. I never used it until just recently and fell in love with it, mostly because it left a lasting fragrance. (I think it did this by leaving a bit of a slick residue on my skin that did not easily wash off during a regular shower. I remember feeling like my skin had lotion on it after i got out of the shower). Then i went back to Nordstrom’s to repurchase but they stopped selling it. I then went online and saw reviews that Amazing Grace had changed its formulation and fragrance no longer lasted. But the overall ratings were 4.5 so i thought i would give it a try. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY - no lasting fragrance at all! At all. (And no slick residue on skin . . .)

I am a longtime user of Philosophy's Amazing Grace products and would recommend to anyone who is sensitive to smells and/or doesn't appreciate strong smelling products. This is a lightly scented body wash/shampoo (efficient!) that does it's job well, and leaves even the bathroom smelling nice. If using as a shampoo, I would recommend using this with the conditioner as well. I did notice that my hair does seem to be drier when using this, but it could also be the weather (I live in CA). Regardless, it's so hard for me to find a nice smelling shampoo that I still give this product full stars.

I like Philosophy products, they are great quality and I wanted to like this shower gel too. I had tried Vanilla cake and coconut frosting shower gels and rated them higher because the price was around £10-15.
However, if I pay £19.50 for a shower gel I have different expectations.
Firstly, the problem of squeezing the gel out of the bottle persists in all Philosophy shower gels! It is a hassle actually and a hand gets sore. Not nice in the shower to experience that. This aline makes me feel frustrated to pay so much for a shower gel for such inconvenience.
Second complaint is that aroma is not as gorgeous as I was hoping for! It is very delicate, a hint of floral and clean scent. I would never guessed they value it at £19.50!
Pros: it does not dry out the skin, the product lingers on the skin almost all day, the scent is soothing and calming! It does not irritate my skin that is very prone to break outs using fragrance products. However absolutely not worth £19.50! I have paid £8 for rituals shower gels that smelled more sophisticated, sorry. If they believe in such a faint scent they need to charge much, much less for it.
If I see their shower gels on offer I would say they are worth it then. Not at full price.
