I had thought that all the Maglites had moved to LED lights, which are brighter and use less energy. This wasn't clearly stated on the product page, so I felt a little ripped off.

    Despite the fact that this item comes up in searches for LED flashlights, it does not have an LED. It's just a standard incandescent bulb. You can get the LED version for a little more, and it's brighter and the batteries last longer.

    I got this new one after my old and faithful silver colored Maglite was stuck with a leaked battery. The battery lasted me a long time, and I kept it in my car, which is probably why it leaked. But anyways, got a black one because it was a cheaper option (although I wish I got the silver one again). It works well, fully serving its purpose. Just make sure you routinely take out the batteries so it doesn't leak and get stuck.
