I have been using these along with my solar batteries in several solar powered systems that I have built. I was using them 3 years ago with my very first solar powered 200 watt system with my 4 12 Volt 55AH Universal Batteries battery bank, and I still use them on my present day systems which are way more powerful ( 5-10 times more ) and more professional. Though my own system is bigger and better, I still use these clip on power adapters all the time.
I love these 12 volt power battery clip on adapters. The quality of these have been excellent. The wires are very solid and the barrel port is extremely durable. They can handle ( theoretically ) up to 10 amps, which at 12 volts is about 100 -120 watts. However I have never used them for so much power nor would I recommend anyone using them for such high levels of power. What they are excellent for is when you need a strong light and you can plug a 13 watt, 12 volt Bayco light into one of these and then just use the battery clamps to quick connect to any 12 volt deep cycle or Automobile battery, in just a few seconds. These are so convenient. When I am charging 4 105AH batteries in 1 battery bank I use these along with Innova's brand Voltage meter that plugs straight into these to check the "approximate" voltages across my batteries as they charge or are being discharged. And they work!!

These are small, fit easily into a glove compartment, and will run most low wattage ( I never go over 50 to 60 watts at 12 volts on these ) devices straight from any car, solar, or AGM battery that you have. If you need to charge your IPad even, you can combine one of these with a Bestek Brand 12 volt plug in little adapter, that has two USB ports, one at 2 Amps at 5 volts and one at 1 amp at 5 volts, and also has 2 more 12 volt Barrel type receptacles like these have.
Bear in mind that I now must have about a dozen of these, half of them at least 3 years old and all of them have seen plenty of use. Not one of them has ever failed, overheated, or had the slightest problem ever. And you cannot beat the price point on them. I highly recommend them.
