The Accusplit Survivor A601X Stopwatch is the best value PE stopwatch on the market. With the exclusive Accusplit 'X' case design and the million-cycle switch buttons, this is the most durable and popular stopwatch for basic timing needs.
The million-cycle no-fail switches are an Accusplit exclusive and are ergonomically designed for maximum performance and ease of use. They snap instead of beep and have been tested for over a million cycles without failure.
The A601X operates on the Watch Company Operating System (WOS 2.5) used by most watch manufacturers, which employs a two-button system. The right button is used for start and stop, the left for split and release.
The A601X stopwatch features cumulative-split timing. The cumulative time is the capture of elapsed time to current event and consists of all splits beginning to end. The split time is the interval of time measured from the start of the timing to the next pause of time.
The A601X also features the one-button start-split-split system where the first split is first place, the second split is second place, and it shows a one-two fast finish.
This stopwatch is available in five solid and translucent ring colors, has a 5-year battery life, and has a magnum extra-large digital display for exceptionally easy reading.
The A601X is water resistant (up to 30-meters), shock resistant, and includes time and date functions, making it a great low-cost stopwatch for basic timing needs.

It keeps good time, which is important. Time in our radios must be synched up +/- 5 seconds. I synch this to "Zulu" time (GMT) about once a week from a GPS receiver, and it stays accurate. Also very convenient that it can be set to military time. Stopwatch function is simple and easy to use.
Cheap enough I keep a couple spares, and don't care if it gets busted (hasn't happened yet) or gets lost. The cord is a good length, and has a snap which is designed to come apart if too much tension is applied. It's saved my neck a couple times when the stopwatch has gotten snagged. However, over time, the snap closure loosens up a bit, so it's not as secure as it once was.
As a last resort, before having to go through the hassle and wasted time of returning it back to Amazon, and waiting for a replacement, I got a replacement battery. Upon examining the back of the stopwatch, observed 6 very tiny screws. One reviewer complained that she had stripped out the screws trying to change the batteries, so I took the stopwatch to a hardware store, to insure I bought the correct special small ‘jewelers’ type screwdriver. The screws were quite tight (probably for the ‘watertight’ claim) but with care, overcoming the initial tightness, fortunately was able to get all 6 screws unfastened. NOTE: perform this procedure in a carefully controlled environment, like on a white towel, (my screws were black) to ensure the tiny screws don’t roll away or get lost! Fortunately, after putting in a new battery, the stopwatch started working again! BUT, after carefully replacing the screws (not forcing them, because sometimes the screws felt like they were initially cross threaded!) After replacing the screws, I intentionally did NOT ‘over tighten’ them, to avoid stripping them out. The claimed ‘watertightness’ is now probably compromised, but I don’t plan on dropping it in water! A sticker on the back of this watch, in very tiny print, stated the warranty was good until October 2021. After that, if you pay $12, they will fix it until October 2025. Since the Battery was Dead On Arrival, I wonder if this stopwatch spent several years sitting on a shelf in some warehouse? In spite of it all, I still like this stopwatch, since I’m not going to use it for athletic events. I’m going to use it while watching specific television shows on different streaming television channels, to time the length of commercials they pad into the TV shows, to determine if any particular streaming channel, is adding in more commercials, compared to a different streaming TV channel!

on Amazon and 100% of my decision is based on customer feedback ... so I'm changing my ways!
My kids are competitive swimmers and I am often asked to be a volunteer for timing. I bring my
own stopwatch and love this one. As a game I often see if I can get the same time as the touchpad
and with other stopwatches that I've used the buttons stick after a while but not so with this one.
One of the coaches asked me which one I was using because the team was looking for replacements,
he has seen me using mine for a while. Love it .. would recommend!
This stopwatch will do that function and does keep time just fine. However, the plastic for the outer housing is rather cheap and the screen is easily scratched. I will put some collision wrap over the screen to protect it from further scratches but I don't know how long it can withhold hanging around a garage.
Overall, it's OK. But cheaply made, and at the price point I probably could have saved $10 and bought a cheaper brand that did the same function with the same level of durability.

Cons: 1. The plastic that holds the cord in place broke after just a few days (I fixed it easily with duct tape). 2. The buttons don't have a good feel and make more noise than is necessary. 3. It has too many bells and whistles: If I accidentally put it into the wrong mode, it can take a long time to figure out how to get it back into the right one. 4. It hangs around my neck. I'd rather it fit on my finger or some other unobtrusive place (I hate dangly things).
