    I rate this a 5 because I like everything about this tiger. It is well made. I like the size, the realistic markings, the plushy feel and look. My use for this is a little unusual. I have several life-size animals in my back yard. A certain tree limb had this one empty spot that was aching for an occupant. This tiger fits it perfectly and looks just like I thought it would! I love him! I definitely recommend this tiger for a similar use or he would be a perfect companion for any child.

    We bought this product as a bed buddy to help transition our granddaughter into her big girl bed at our home. What appeals to me most is its facial expression; is has a soft, inviting kitty expression that makes you want to hug it! Its soft fur, shape, and style make it perfect for a bedtime snuggle companion. Its colors and design also fit into our exotic bed and curtain décor. I propped it up on a bed throw pillow so it is looking directly at the person entering the room. I want one for myself!

    I just received this, so I can't speak to longevity, but from what I've seen this is an excellent plush for the size and price! Here's a run-down of pros and cons:

    PROS:
    * The fur is very soft and pettable. Even the detail/accent fur has a nice pile (aside from the nose, which makes sense).
    * It is extremely huggable--stuffed perfectly for cuddling. I haven't used it as a pillow but I can imagine it would make a nice one.
    * The face is one of the better tiger faces I've seen on a reasonably-priced plush--friendly and recognizably a big cat.
    * This critter is big! It's not life-size, but the body is a good couple of feet long, making it a pretty respectable toy.

    CONS:
    * The stripes are airbrushed, and frankly could be a little denser. You lose some naturalism here.
    * I noticed a few minor airbrushing errors, as well--a little bit of black bleeding over into the throat area, for instance.
    * The construction is about what you'd expect for the price--the eye-patches seem to "fit" poorly, for instance.

    Another reviewer commented that they didn't think the toy really looked like the photo--I'd respectfully disagree. I think if you allow for the flattering lighting and professional photography they've clearly got in the photo, the toy you get is pretty close to the image available. If you're looking for an affordable, reasonably believable tiger, and one that would make a good toy for a tiger-loving kid, I'd definitely recommend this one.

    You get what you pay for, and the size of this tiger at the price means the quality of materials and sewing going into it are not great. Seams are sewed badly, with melted "hemmed" edges sticking out of various nooks and crannies, creating a scratchy surprise. The fur isn't much better than what you'd expect to get from a cheap carnival toy.

    The image provided by Amazon / the seller is clearly a prototype of a much higher quality plushie, I'll try and submit a picture of the actual thing.
