With limited options for a quality replacement part at an affordable price, I selected this Dormant part to save some money. Turns out I made up the difference in time and labor trying to get it to fit and function smoothly in my steering column. I had to sand and grind some areas to smooth out casting marks and allow it to slide into the machined grooves without binding. Still cheaper than any other option I found, but be prepared to modify it a little.

Cheap part. Still pot aluminum and still very brittle.. if this part had a gusset added to the spot it breaks and was made of billet aluminum these things would probably never break again. It works but I don’t expect it to last long, certainly if you have a stiff ignition.

Works well. Found a video to install suggest rounding off the end with a file to get it installed. That one tip allowed me to get it installed. Pot metal type material like oem. If your like me and use alot of key on one key chain I found that this is what attributes to this piece breaking. Soft cheap metal cannot handle the weight after so many years of use.

This arrived quickly, and is the correct part for my application.

That being said, when actually installing it, the casting burrs became apparent and the shaft would bind in the slot. It needed filing until it would travel smoothly in the actuator slot.

Also looks/feels like a lower quality material than the original.

I ended up keeping the original as it was still serviceable. Will keep this as a spare.
