The Lumina Folding Knife from Buck Knives is a full-sized outdoor knife that features a built-in 5-millimeter LED flashlight. The light has an on/off switch on the side of the handle with four programmed functions: a high, medium, and low beam, and a beacon flash. The light will automatically shut-off after five minutes and is powered by two 3-Volt CR-2032 lithium batteries, which are included. The knife features a three-inch partially serrated 420HC stainless steel blade. Measuring 4-3/8-inches long when closed, this knife weighs 3.6 ounces while the handle has a stainless steel frame with translucent blue nylon sides. As with all Buck Knives, the Lumina includes Buck's 4-Ever lifetime warranty.

About Buck Knives
When the first Buck knife was made in 1902, a young Kansas blacksmith apprentice named Hoyt Buck used his imagination to find a new, better way to temper steel so it would hold an edge much longer. Hoyt made each knife by hand, using worn-out file blades as his raw material. During World War II, he made as many as he could to help America's war effort. After the war, he moved to San Diego, where he and his oldest son, Al, formed H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al carried on when Hoyt died in 1949 and led the company through the next critical years in its history.

Buck was still making knives from discarded file blades until 1961, when the firm was incorporated. In 1963, Al Buck designed the Model 110 Folding Hunter, which was brought to the market in 1964. This lockblade had a great impact on the knife industry and propelled the Buck brand name to a position of prominence.

Buck knives are designed for all types of users--hunters, fishermen, hikers, campers, military, law enforcement, knife collectors, workers on the job, and people doing everyday tasks. The company's mission focuses on product quality, product development, and a strong commitment to its customers.

It's really difficult to find presents that my husband will use. This was a great pick. It's user friendly and the light comes in handy.

Thanks Amazon, for the great service!

Awesome knife. Although the description doesn't say it, the blade DOES lock. Add in a very sharp edge, flashlight functionality...it's just a very cool knife!
