Customer reviews
Hello everyone. Figured I'd write this up since I did have an issue that I seen reviewed before on here . First off, I took it to a locksmith and paid 25 bucks to have it keyed to my key. I did not do that part. It did work for my 2003 Ford F150 XL 4.2. Removing the old one is easy as you get a small pick or screwdriver and push the pin in after putting ignition to run located on underside of column below ignition. The one issue I had as you see in the 2 pics is that the locking pin was different and sliding the new cylinder in it wouldn't lock in place and allow the key to remove. All you have to do after messing with it is slightly lift the little metal lever holding the locking pin on that side and the pin slides out and flip it over to the other side. Then it locks in and worked perfectly. Hope this isn't too long . Thanks.
