Sweet! Must have! Monster brushes!!!! Awesome!
These are awesome!!! I bought 2 sets, and well worth the money.... One pair was for me, and the other for my 7 year old... Love the ability to custom adjust the bands for switching from brush to a stick feel, we like to use them mostly as brushes with multiple personality, I am confident my seven year old will play quieter with brushes, which is great for his new born sister, and his ears! Also a seven year old with no experience or sense of dynamics is less likely to damage his new expensive set! there nice and thick... comfy for me and my son... :)

Can’t talk about durability too much because I don’t use them very often but from the last 5-10x that I have used them, they’re pretty durable. They create a great sound. If you want more volume out of your cajon than you would get from playing it with your hands, these are for you. Create a very consistent sound. Have adjustable rings to hold the bristles together creating more volume and giving you a more tight sound. Or you can push them all the way down and create a brushier sound on your cajon which is much quieter. Super versatile. Great buy.

I'm mainly a rock drummer who uses brushes only occasionally. However, I'm learning swing jazz to play in My Way, a Sinatra tribute musical and using probably 75% brushes. I had some very old Vic's which were breaking down; they are my only real point of comparison.

I list some Pros and Cons below, and also a comment here which is neither good nor bad, just different. The wires on my Vic's are much coarser, these Vaters are quite fine. This makes them a bit delicate and easy to kink when one gets caught. It also changes the sound to something softer, more "wooshey" (tech term), and I think more forgiving of imperfect technique. I think I like the finer wires. I see on the market that wire gage is a feature, you can choose what you like. I imagine experienced brush players have a developed sense of what they like, and probably different gages for different circumstances.

The handles are different as well. As advertised they have a soft rubber cover which feels nice. They are not as good for striking the cymbal, esp the bell. And I have mixed feelings about the fact that they don't have the wire ring at the butt, more below.

    Pros:
Compact when compressed (although this does tend to make them get lost in the bottom of the stick bag).
Moderate max fan width, which I like (narrower than my Vic's).
    Good price.

    Cons:
Kinda short handles and overall length.
The brushes push up just a little into the handle as I play, changing the fan width.
Without the wire and ring on the butt end against my hand, I find there is a tendency for the brush to rotate in my hand as I play certain patterns, so that the brush doesn't strike flat on the drum.

These are the perfect Brush for my fat meat paws. We love the tone and control these offer. Perfect for our Cajon drum and I am not worried about the 5 year old playing with these, breaking them, or beating on things too hard. I would and will likely buy these again. I really think they are a great deal and I am glad I went with these XL nylon brushes.

These are great. I use them on a kit, usually at about quarter brush. If you play light they sound light, but you can also get power and crack if you lay into the drum/cymbal because of the width.
I use them for band practice and they are great for getting the tone of the kit which is lost having to use practice pads. Besides replacing the pads for these brushes, they make for good ambiance for softer tunes, being that they amplify your attack equivalently to the force you use.
Only downside being (obviously because they are brushes) rebound is lost when playing. But the trade off I'm comparing it to is using practice pads (which absorbs rebound anyway).
    Solid product.
