Not a fake, and it works perfectly
Okay. So I was worried that I was gonna get a fake one. But i took the risk. It is a real one. No sticker. Took less then 5 minutes in my jeep xj to replace. Also I will say it works perfectly. I'm very happy with this purchase.

My daily driver is an 04 Mustang with well over 200,000 miles on it so over the last few years I have had to replace quite a few work parts. My turn signals started acting weird awhile ago, sometimes they would flash, most of the time they would just stay solid, occasionally they would start flashing and then just stay on so I had to flick the switch on and off by hand to let people know I was planning to turn.

I read up on the subject and found that it might be the flasher module under the dash but I didn’t get my hopes up because that seemed too easy and it is very rare for the solution to be that simple. I gave it a try anyway and lucky me - it was that simple! I installed this flasher relay and bam! Working, flashing turn signals!

The only difficult part for me was removing the old factory flasher relay. Being up under the steering wheel makes it a bit awkward to access and the plug in my car was stuck, it just did not want to disconnect from the original relay. I finally managed to get the plug loose but I couldn’t get the original relay pulled off its clip so i went ahead and just plugged this relay in, used a couple of zip-ties to secure it nice and tight so it doesn’t fall out, and I used some adhesive backed velcro to help hold the relay in place - right next to the old one - so it doesn’t rattle around. So far it has been working perfectly!

For the record, I have an aftermarket LED third brake light installed on my car and it hasn’t been an issue, this relay works perfectly. It solved my problem and it solved it for less than $10 and very little effort which is more than I was hoping for. I’m pleased as punch

Used this on a 2000 Ford Ranger after replacing turn signals with led’s and experiencing hyper flash. This is located on the drivers side under the dash close to the steering column but back toward the front of the dash. In my case the old one was yellow hope that helps someone. One more thing this model only has the one flasher so you only have to change one. One more other thing my old flasher had a sixth pin on it in one corner of the old flasher but the five pin version like this one worked perfect so don’t worry about the sixth pin. Tried another flasher and my signal lights wouldn’t even come on. As another reviewer said if you’ve got a Ranger go ahead and spend the few extra dollars and get this flasher cause it’s all you need. Works just like factory original, takes away hyper flash and seems to be well made. Only installed it two days ago but I will update if it craps out on me in the near future. Well worth the money just to eliminate hyper flash which is dangerous anyway. You won’t notice a turn signal as quickly with a fast blink not to mention its nerve wracking. Definitely recommend.

    2004 Ford Expedition flasher relay

This Tridon EP27 Flasher worked to fix blinkers/flashers that wouldn't flash (just stayed on solid). No tools required

Installation tips- The location of this flasher is under the drivers side dash almost behind the air vent. The only way to access this flasher relay is to lie on your back with your head between the gas pedal and the break pedal and reach up toward the back side of the air vent. Tip- if your break pedal is power, it would be a good idea to move it as far back as possible to make room for your head. I'm 6'3" and I managed to replace this relay so you probably can too.

It will be hard to identify the flasher relay location at first because it has a black plastic cover over it. This black cover has 2 plastic clasps that hold it in place (left and right or driver side and passenger side ). I didn't need any tools to remove the cover, just some wiggling and finally I figured out how to release the clasp. Once the black cover is removed you should just be able to see the blue flasher relay. This is the one you want to remove and replace. The relay is just held in place with friction and with a gentle wiggle and lift it will come out. This would be a good time to take note of the direction of the blue flasher prongs because you will want to place your replacement relay back the same way.

Tip- I placed my iPhone in the area that I thought the bad flasher was in to identify the black plastic relay cover and to better see the bad blue relay that I was going to replace. I snapped a few shots and examined them before I removed each part.

It took a few tries to place the replacement relay in the exact holes but I finally got it after a few tries.

    I hope this helped

Installed this on my 2001 F350 with Yorkim 3157 front and rear LED turn signal bulbs. Works great to fix hyper flash issue but after a few miles or if it is above 80 in the vehicle, the flash does not work at all but keeps the signal on with no flash. Stopped at a light with left turn on and flashed correctly for first 20-30 seconds then flash slowed until it did not flash any further. Not sure if I got a defective or as others stated, a sub-par flasher with Novita label. Will update when I get it taken out and original put back in. Better hyper flash then no flash.

Update 4/10 - replaced with another flasher I purchased through Amazon but not Novita and it worked perfectly. The new flasher was solid state and larger than the Novita but worked perfectly with LED bulbs, running lights on, and above 80 degrees in vehicle. Not recommended to buy.

BLINKS FINE THEN IT SPEEDS UP AND THEN SLOWS DOWN
  • Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2025
Do you have a 7.3? This us the annoying flasher that will go out every so often and for my truck it will click nonstop, whether the truck is on or not. And yes it will run your battery down even if its off. I did find these at o reillys for 1$ more but auto zone didnt have any at various locations. My suggestion with your old vehicle is, if it goes out once it will eventually go out again so buy 2 and stick the spare in the glove box. The last time this relay went out was 5 years ago. It does work as designed you just need to wiggle to under the undering wheel to get to it. Recommend.

Excelente producto.

Works as it should. Have LEDs in taillights and no hyperflash. The signals are a little slower but I like. If you do install LEDs all around make sure they are all the right ones as I did my front and got weird hyperflash turns out it was the LEDs not the flasher relay.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect... solved a fast flashing turn signal problem in 2006 Ford Ranger with LED lights...
Reviewed in Canada on July 26, 2024
Perfect! This 'Novita EP27 Flasher relay' solved a fast flashing turn signal indicator problem in 2006 Ford Ranger with LED lights. The Ranger had had all turn signal lights (front and back) replaced with LED's and as a result the resistance across the flasher relay was reduced. The original stock flasher relay was doing what it was supposed to do and caused the turn signals to flash quickly indicate a burned out incandescent bulb... but of course, this was caused by the low resistance LED's... not a burned out turn signal bulb. I just popped out the old flasher relay (blue plastic relay directly below the steering wheel column) and replaced it with this new Novita EP27 Flasher relay and the problem was solved! A five minute fix! (actually... more likely 2 minutes)
