I have a gorgeous Maine Coon who is the love of my life. I recently bought him a new PetSafe Drinkwell Fountain because he loves them!
Of course my baby gets fresh water several times daily, and his fountain is cleaned once or twice every week. These brushes, which were made specifically for PetSafe Drinkwell fountains, help me to more thoroughly clean every part of his fountain.
The tools are easy to use, and they seem very sturdy and well made as well. I expect them to last a long time, even though they do get a lot of use. Keeping my baby's fountain clean helps ensure his water is clean. Even though these fountains contain a filter, the filter won't do the entire job. You're going to have to put in some effort yourself, and isn't your baby worth it? I know mine is.
If you're going to buy a PetSafe Drinkwell fountain, you might as well buy the cleaning tools as well. After all, nothing is too good for our beautiful, loving fur babies, and that includes cleanliness.

The mid size brush could not go all the way down inside to clean the output tube built into the mid piece of the fountain.The smaller brush was of little use for the above reasons and also after dismantling the front face of the pump, other than to try scrubbing the ribs of pump intakeBy far the only really useful brush was the large one, pinching it with dab a dish soap and inserted into the intake hole near the white impeller.By far I found most useful is to disassemble all pieces into separate parts and pull the pump electrical cord (water leak stopper), and wash in dishwasher.Soak pump and pump parts in hot water, for maybe 5 minutes using the brushes when and where able, rinse and repeat, finally fill kitchen sink with cold water let pump circulate water, drain and repeat until all soapy residue is removed from the pump internals.
