ROD Bushings are not included!!!

I bought this to replace one in my 1993 Bronco. The packaging was great but I thought a little pricy. When I was putting it together, I found that all three yellow bushings were not included. it is Ford D2VY-65219A38-B - BUSH. The ones on the original door latch would not come out with out breaking. So....my door is still not together today and I am driving it with the old latch back in the door.

The assembly showed up quickly and packaged as expected. There are no installation instruction included with this product. If you need ideas on how to proceed, there are several very helpful YouTube videos. The product appeared to be a genuine Ford replacement part and fit flawlessly. I should have changed this out long ago instead of fighting all the repairs that did not last and resulted in multiple broken door handles. With the new assembly installed the door opens so easily your not sure you actually pulled the handle. It's that easy to get the door open now.

If you have power locks, be prepared to struggle with the connection to the actuator. It is a real pain to get the actuator out of the swivel bracket. Persistence will pay off. Possible the only thing harder than getting the actuator out of the bracket is snapping it back in. Good Luck!

1994 F150 - Perfect Fit

I bought this to replace the driver’s side handle assembly on my 1994 F-150. (So far I have only installed the handle portion of the assembly since my door latch is fine). It was a perfect replacement for the old, broken assembly. Before installing, I reinforced the door metal with a door handle reinforcement plate from CP Addict, since the thin metal had failed. The new handle assembly mounted perfectly on the reinforcement plate and it’s great to be able to open my door from the inside again!

I would encourage you to take pictures of how all of the parts fit together. I always think of doing that after I've pulled everything apart. Now that I've done it once a second installation will be much easier. Just take your time and take pictures -- not too difficult.

What a pain in the neck to install this thing! It didnt come with the plastic bushing so you either have to buy new ones or try and use the old ones. Mine were brittle and some broke taking them off. If you heard me cussing while i installed this I apologize!
