Bought these in the spring to protect the pups eyes while on the Motorcycle. They have seen over 6000 miles this year! You do need to take the time to train your dog to get used to them. In my case I found the best thing was make it part of the Motorcycle training, soon after she realized when you are on the Motorcycle you wear the Doggles. Two things to note:1) They will need regular cleaning (daily) at high speeds due to wet nose/tongue as well as bugs.2) If you do not get the adjustment just right they will not stay put. To loose and they will move around, to tight and they will pull to one side. If you take your time and find that perfect adjustment you can go 200 miles without readjusting.Bottom line these are well made and you will be pleased if you spend the time training your dog to use them.

These doggles are amazing. They fit my labrador perfectly and do not slow her down at all. They are made of high quality material and stand up to anything my dog can throw at them. We were dove hunting in Lubbock, TX two days ago when a dust storm engulfed us. I put the doggles on my dog and we continued on with our hunt without a problem. I let my lab continue to wear them for the remainder of the day and sadly, they became entagled with barbed wire at one point while my dog went to retrieve a downed dove. The fabric that holds the doggles on the dog had broken while caught on the barbed wire. I called doggle customer service the next day and they promptly sent a new pair my way. They apparently have a life time warranty. Great buy for under $20 and they look pretty cool too. Great company, great product.

These Doggles are fantastic. I purchased the LARGE size for my 70lb lab/greyhound mix who likes to put his head out the car window going 45+ mph. I was worried about something flying into his eyes and while I haven't been able to condition him into these for very long, I am convinced they will do the trick in preventing any eye damage.

Not every dog will willingly wear these right away, it may take conditioning. I show my dog the doggles, give him a treat, hide them and repeat. Once that's over I put them on him, give him a treat, take them off and repeat. Once he gets use to wearing them my plan is to put him in the car, quickly slip the doggles on and get him distracted with movement and window down. Otherwise it's more condition inside the car.

One thing you should note is that they should come in clear plastic snap packaging with a little cardboard insert containing some info, the logo etc. The first pair I got came in a clear thin thin plastic bag, much like you'd find sunglasses in that you'd purchase at the fair or flea market. On inspection you could clearly see they were used; scratched with gunk on them.

I think these are a great idea and can work with many different size and breeds of dogs. Keep in mind they might not be for every dog, simply because they won't wear them or because they don't have the proper shape of head that these will stay on.

When Coors sees his glasses he knows he’s going for a Jeep ride! These glasses are great for large dogs. They fit really well across the bridge of his nose. These “Doggles” are not only a fashion statement but it is eye protection too. Please keep in mind if you let your pet hang their head out the window without eye protection they can lose an eye from a hit with a flying insect. If you’re driving 35 MPH and something hits your pet in the eye at that speed that’s a 35MPH impact and he or she can loss that eye!!! Coors-Light Lab on FB

I got these for my Great Pyrenees, Odin. He has a huge noggin, and I wasn't sure they would fit, but the size large fit him well. He looks so super cool wearing them, and makes grown adults turn into 15 year old girls squealing with delight when they see him. They appear to be made well, and the case they come in is a nice added bonus. The only part that stinks is that Odin WILL NOT keep them on. He HATES them. In fact, when I take them out, he runs the other way :(

My German Shepherd has pannus and needs to avoid UV light, but loves long walks. He adjusted very quickly to wearing Doggles, so overall this product works for us. However, I really hope they keep improving it, or that a competitor comes along. Three problems:
1. The adjustable side of the chin strap kept sliding backward on the head strap, causing the Doggles to sit crooked on my dog's face. This issue I fixed by tacking the chin strap onto the headstrap once they were properly adjusted.
2. The lenses scratch easily and need to be replaced every 3-6 weeks. And new lenses cost almost as much as a new set of Doggles.
3. The foam padding keeps separating from the frame. I have tried supergluing it back, but it doesn't stay in place very long. My dog does have some eye discharge due to his condition, so perhaps this is the cause, and might not be a problem for a dry-eyed dog.
Despite some frustrations, I will keep ordering new lenses and Doggles as long as they maintain my dog's quality of life. Just wish the product was a bit more sturdy. They are pretty cute, though! We make a lot of people smile.

EDIT: read my Rex Specs review. Rex Specs are a big improvement!

My 8 month old Great Dane has a severe cartaracs and it's hard for her to be out in the sun during the day, I ordered the large and it's still a bit too large, it took about two days to get her to keep them on, lots of "high value" treats, but it's not a snug fit, from the picture it looks like you can adjust the piece that goes over the bridge of the nose, but you can't and it's very wide, looks made for a wide headed dog !
Wish I returned it

Well made, fits great and looks awesome on my dog. Definitely a head turner. Too bad he starts swiping at his face after a few seconds. It will most likely take a few more tries before he gets use to wearing them.
