Not every dog will willingly wear these right away, it may take conditioning. I show my dog the doggles, give him a treat, hide them and repeat. Once that's over I put them on him, give him a treat, take them off and repeat. Once he gets use to wearing them my plan is to put him in the car, quickly slip the doggles on and get him distracted with movement and window down. Otherwise it's more condition inside the car.
One thing you should note is that they should come in clear plastic snap packaging with a little cardboard insert containing some info, the logo etc. The first pair I got came in a clear thin thin plastic bag, much like you'd find sunglasses in that you'd purchase at the fair or flea market. On inspection you could clearly see they were used; scratched with gunk on them.
I think these are a great idea and can work with many different size and breeds of dogs. Keep in mind they might not be for every dog, simply because they won't wear them or because they don't have the proper shape of head that these will stay on.

1. The adjustable side of the chin strap kept sliding backward on the head strap, causing the Doggles to sit crooked on my dog's face. This issue I fixed by tacking the chin strap onto the headstrap once they were properly adjusted.
2. The lenses scratch easily and need to be replaced every 3-6 weeks. And new lenses cost almost as much as a new set of Doggles.
3. The foam padding keeps separating from the frame. I have tried supergluing it back, but it doesn't stay in place very long. My dog does have some eye discharge due to his condition, so perhaps this is the cause, and might not be a problem for a dry-eyed dog.
Despite some frustrations, I will keep ordering new lenses and Doggles as long as they maintain my dog's quality of life. Just wish the product was a bit more sturdy. They are pretty cute, though! We make a lot of people smile.
EDIT: read my Rex Specs review. Rex Specs are a big improvement!
Two things to note:
1) They will need regular cleaning (daily) at high speeds due to wet nose/tongue as well as bugs.
2) If you do not get the adjustment just right they will not stay put. To loose and they will move around, to tight and they will pull to one side. If you take your time and find that perfect adjustment you can go 200 miles without readjusting.
Bottom line these are well made and you will be pleased if you spend the time training your dog to use them.
