This is a fun game to play and it helps my kid to learn his states and capitals. I homeschool, so I cheat and send it with him when he goes to Nana and Poppy's house because they love to play board games and so he's playing games and learning at the same time. Shhh, don't let him know! And Poppy enjoys it because he traveled a lot and he can tells stories about his travels. Grandparents are awesome and so is this game!
My husband and I first played the Deluxe Sequence Game my parents brought over New Years Weekend 2010. My parents and my husband, and I had such a blast playing that game, that we were curious to see if there were other versions out there. My step daughters are 14, 12, and 9 and we thought this would be a very nice game of learning and fun. Our 12 y/0 lives with us full time so we tried it out with her first and she really liked it, we had her say the name of the capital of the card she was playing to the state on the board she was matching it to. We are going to try it out with our 9 y/o this weekend and see how she likes it! Thanks so much for providing this product, we are considering buying more versions from amazon.com
I adore the game Sequence. On game night when the family would play, my 7 yr old daughter would get upset that she couldn't play. (After seeing it so often, she can actually play it now.) We bought sequence for kids. Tons of fun. Then I saw this set. Wow! Kids can learn their state capitals while playing a super fun game! Adults will enjoy it just as much as the original. We sent this set to Grandma's house to give her extra incentive to want to stay over there to give mom & dad an occasional date night..
The only complaint is the way it was shipped. The product came in a soft large envelope so the box was pushed in on one side. Since it was a gift it was a little disappointing. But the recipient is five so he probably didn’t care. A hard box would probably be a better option. This was a better challenge for family game night then some of the others out there.
Exciting game. Once you get the hang of it, it can get competitive quick. For quick thinkers who can keep eye on their goals, while trying to figure out their opponents strategy.
We liked the original sequence so we thought this would be good for our 3 kids to practice states and capitals. I couldn't find a new one in stores so I ordered a "collectors quality" used one here on Amazon. No regrets. The kids enjoy it and I discovered a few capitals I had even forgotten.
This game is so much fun. We played it with 2 adults and a 6 yr old and 8 yr old. My husband "thought" he and one of the kids were gonna kick our butts, but they didn't both kids wanted to be on my team. Very easy and I can't believe how quick my grandson was whose 6 picked up on matching the colors and shapes of the states and capitals. HIGHLY recommended.
