- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2013Small, but as effective as a large one; versatile, sturdy, simply perfect for the household. I really love this flashlight and it is made much better than some cheaper plastic ones. Compared to others I have purchased this is right on for the money.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2015I own several flashlights including other Energizer Flashlights like Energizer LED 2 in 1 Handheld Flashlight and Area Light with Light Fusion Technology which is cheaper. This particular flashlight is definitely rugged and well built, but the main light isn't very bright, so the money you pay is going into the rugged construction.
To be fair, the product page clearly states that the light is rated for 35 lumens (though the packaging says 100 lumens).
A side by side comparison with the 2in1 also shows that the 2in1 casts an even bright circle of light and the colour of the light is 'white white' as opposed to the white with greenish tinge of this product. This product casts a concentrated bright light in the very centre of the circle of light, but rapidly dims as you move away from the centre.
The 2in1 is ultimately superior because it is a newer product with a newer generation LED (the 'white white' is much more appealing than the greenish-tinged white of this product). I wish that Energiser would update this flashlight with a new generation LED.
The red and green 'tactical' LEDs provided suggests that its intended for outdoor nighttime use. 20 years ago, when we were using L-torches with D batteries which grew dim very quickly and had to put on slip-on filters for 'tactical' lighting, this light would have been great, but there has been a vast improvement in flashlight technology since then.
Conclusion, when buying this, be sure that the lower brightness this provides is sufficient for your needs.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2016Leaving a review for this because I just purchased my second one. I wanted to get another because it seems OFTEN when I find an Item I like it is discontinued or a "Newer/Updated" Version isn't as good. I saw a newer version in a Store and wanted to buy this one in fear it may be discontinued.
My first works great! It is my go to Flashlight, I'm a Long Haul Trucker so this is a Practical Flashlight that has been through the paces, Dropped 10ft-12ft 3-4times, didn't skip a beat, been exposed to Freezing conditions(Chaining 18whlr w/ light sitting in Snow,Ice or zip tied to wet, freezing undercarriage for 1hr ++), Heavy Soaking Rain and never an issue. It's been banged around. The Red Night light capability is a feature I use alot, not losing your limited night vision is important when walking around a rig on the side of a mountain with no Moon. The On/Off Cycle Buttons work good, tactile enough with Med duty gloves, or freezing hands.
From the Military I personally like and seek having the Swivel/90dgr feature, allows me to have alot better use of the Light Holding hand while keeping light where I want it by rotating it in my hand or needing to tie it off, etc. I first bought this, thinking I was settling for a temporary light to soon be replaced because it is a swivel, didn't realize I'd depend on it and like it as much. Battery Life seems good but haven't Tortured Tested it, I can say It is used 7days a week when I'm not home, 15-20min continuously and fairly often 30min+ at a time for strapping, checking loads. In a year plus changed the batteries once.
This IS NOT a so called "Tactical" light nor marketed that way. For me it extends into outdoor camping usage but making a Case for it to strap on a pack would pretty much make it Tactical for me. Shooting a pistol with a 90degree light made a Fixed Pistol Rail light unnecessary being I'm able to swivel the light left, right, up down, keeping a good tight, cross wrist supported cradle without every taking the Pistol Front Sight Post off a primary target, much more difficult with a straight light, impossible with a Picatinny rail mounted light on Pistol.
Not having a Focus Feature, the 100 Lumens has a good concentrated Bright Throw.
What I don't like or could use improving:
Belt Clip is TOO small/short, needs to be longer. Can't really use it. Which is why the 4 Star rating.
You have to cycle through High/low or if Night, cycle through Red/Green to turn off but a small issue.
Good Flashlight. One of those Rare Find Items for me. Inexpensive, High Value. BTW, Just a Satisfied Owner, no affiliation or prompted Review. I don't think Big Company Energizer would silicate that anyway.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2018The push buttons did not last long, the rubber grips peeled off, the battery cap connections unreliable.
the lights were good, low power consumption.
green inspection light was good. head rotate was good.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2011Flashlight described is TUFSW21PH, the 80 lumen model; Flashlight received from Amazon, TUFSW21PE, the older 35 lumen model. Good light, but not half as bright. I returned the flashlight and Amazon refunded my money so, no harm, no foul, but if you want the new model, this may not be the site at this time. BTW, you can find the older light for $27-$28 without much difficulty.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2013This light is very bright and feels good in your hand. With 2 white LED settings, 1 red LED setting and 1 green LED setting, this light replaces several. The pivoting head and the fact that it stands securely on its end cap make it even better. I highly recommend ths light.

My favourite flashlight, though the green and red LEDs seem a little gimmicky.
