Once again Fox hits the nail on the head with this well written, well acted drama based around an aggressive and talented defense lawyer... One critic called this "House in High Heals", I think that might be slightly overstating it but, it could happen.

Canterbury (the protagonist played convincingly by Julianna Margulies), is a brilliant, emotionally damaged lawyer, who does what it takes to win. Add to that, some interesting subplots of a troubled marriage, the loss of a child and the toll that it takes on Canterbury and her husband. The local District Attorney has made it his life's mission to have her disbarred, and she relies on an ex cop for a detective who is a former love, and an ethically troubled associate.

If you are looking for a new drama, give this a try.

Canterbury's Law is another great drama on FOX, well written terrifically acted and then cancelled without given a chance to develop an audience.

With all the garbage that is run over and over on TV why is it there was not enough patience to let this great show develop?

Go Figure.

Her current series "The Good Wife" is an extrapolition (not a spin off) of this. I believe that Juilianna so enjoyed this lawyer role it gave birth to the new series. You should watch the Canterbury's Law first if you can. It is kind of going backwards in time once you have seen The Good Wife.

This is ok, but after you watch the good wife, it is somewhat disappointing. I can see why it was cancelled. The depth of character leaves something to be desired. Story line is ok, but is underdeveloped in the episodes that were produced, leaving something to be desired.

much as i enjoy GOOD WIFE (alicia florick being the main character attorney), with the same lead actress playing an attorney, i think i liked the attorney here even better. here she is extremely rough around the edges and not as nice a person as alicia florik is. she drinks too much, has made some big mistakes, including adultery and taking her eyese off her child to talk on her cell phone. however, she is a powerhouse in the courtroom and takes risks which alicia florick never would. the guys she picks are also a lot rougher around the edges. in short, i really liked this law series and i only wish it had lasted longer. i watched it all on netflix instant viewing. i highly recommend you watch the entire series.

I love Julianna Margulies in anything she is in. This series should have been continued in my opinion but it was not so
I was unhappy that I purchased the series and that is all there will be. Leaves you hanging.. don't like that.

Excellent as she always is, still J M is not the Good Wife. It is enjoyable, worth watching, just for her acting.

I don't know if this can be resurrected since being canceled. Too bad. It's one of the best in years.
