5.0 out of 5 stars It’s a Jugs!
By Acu on July 6, 2018
Have only used the machine a few times on the porch (as we are on a break). My son and I have fed each other using both the Sklz and Jugs Balls. First I will review the machine.

The Small Balls machine performs exactly as it is advertised. Balls (both) come out extremely accurately. Regular fastballs are great for 7/8/9/10 year olds. Advanced Fastballs are great for older players even high schoolers. Extend tubs holds
about 13 Balls. Need to see if Jugs sells a longer tube. Everything is made durable and heavy. Love the high tripod.

On to the balls. Basically you can’t go wrong with either Sklz or Jugs Balls. Sklz are lighter and will come out a little slower. Sklz might even break more. Jugs balls are heavier and will come out “hotter”! Actually rise on fastballs.

So, if you already have the crappy Sklz pitching machine and are stuck with a bunch of the yellow balls (because I’m sure the machine has already broke). They work just fine for your new Jugs machine 👍!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth it
By S. Salman Hoda on November 3, 2018
Bought this for my 6 (almost 7) year old and he, my wife and I - and others - really like this machine. A lot of fun. Straight forward set up. The only down side is that the balls can vary in pitch height when feeding the ball manually as opposed to using the feeder. However, this only teaches my son (and others) not to swing for bad pitches. I've set this up in my finished basement and use the bucket of small balls (sold separately) with no damage, with the exception of red marks on the walls from the red ink on the small balls. I've put the machine about 35 feet away and now my son uses the advanced fastball setting ( which is challenging to me). As he gets older and hopefully better I'll move the machine closer as it is intended to be 20 feet away.
