This is great glue. Really, all good wood glues are great.
You can choose to use a wood screw or nail to hold the pieces while the glue sets, but if you have clamps just use those. Overnight is probably your best bet but it may vary depending on your environment.
This won't really work on finished wood, but bare wood is great. Probably stronger than the wood itself depending on the type of wood. Just FWIW, modern wood glues are so much better than the wood glues of the hazy past.
Good Things
-Just incredibly strong
-Does not stink (or have any odor as far as my nose can tell)
-Dries reasonable quickly (probably 12 hours to be super sure or use wood fasteners (screws) to hold it while the glue dries
-Can be applied right from the squeeze container but you'll probably want to spread it with a finger or something else (this is also sort of a bad thing)
-Even works well on end grain where the glues of the past would fail
-Lasts a very long time, like years. Really, I've never had anything fail because this glue dried up. Hide glues and such can dry up and fail. This glue has not done that yet (~30 years)
Bad Things
-May take hours to really dry/cure
-Remember to close the bottle, but even then you're better off applying with a stick or card or finger or something
-The run off from a glued joint may affect the subsequent finishes, clean any run off with a water wet paper towel or similar

Super strong!
I have a children's table and chair set that my mom passed down to me and I passed down to my own daughters.My daughters adore it as much as my mom and I did, but due to being so old, the seat cracked a little.I put off fixing it, but then one day my daughters came running down the stairs saying the chair broke.It's over 60 years old, so it wasn't their fault, but I was heartbroken when I saw it! Then I started my search for the best glue!I had used the original Gorilla glue before, but hated how it foams up, so I was afraid the wood glue did the same. After looking at many others, I went back and watched the promo video for Gorilla wood glue. This doesn't foam and seemed to be the strongest, so I ordered it.It was easy to apply, but it's pretty runny. That's the only con. I had to keep wiping where it would drip down, but after a few wipes it stopped dripping.The next day the chair was as good as new! I tried pulling on it, but the glue is so strong, it wouldn't budge! I hope this table and chair set can be passed down at least a few more generations!Just be careful not to get it in your hair! I didn't know I had some on my hand, and brushed my hair out of my face and got glue in my hair... It hadn't dried yet, but it was tough getting it out!Update 1/11/2022:It's been almost 3 years since I repaired this chair. The glue is still holding strong and you can't even tell that it was repaired!

Decent wood glue. This is the stuff you want to use to for home woodworking, reinforcing joints in self-assembled furniture, or in my case, repairing a broken kitchen cabinet.
It's cheap, which is good since you'll probably use a lot for any of those purposes.
Be warned, it's messy to work with. Its thin, thinner than general purpose glue ("Elmers"), and runs easily.
A good thing for letting it work its way along a tongue-and-groove join, or filling a corner. But it'll also seep through the seam, or trickle its way down your project. Fortunately, clean up is super-easy with just water. But let it set, and that's another story. So plan to clean up, and checking back later for seeps and cleaning up AGAIN.
And do observe the directions for letting it set-- clamp for the first 30 minutes, and then let it set for at least 24 hours. In my amateur use, I over-applied, and the puddled portion of the glue (remember what I said about the liquid working its way down and through seams) took over 24 hours to completely cure based on its color.

The applicator is decent and washes out easily. In case you don't wash it out, just snap it shut so the protruding nib keeps the opening from drying shut.
