I've been able to use watercolor pencils, light washes\staining without warping. Pages lay flat. The paper is smooth. On bleed through I only had problems with dark liquid ink type pens, or markers (pitt pens) if I overworked the area. For the most part I can use both sides of any paper without problems so long as I'm careful.

I purchased this sketchbook for my art class this semester. I have always help the Pro-Art brand highly and this sketchbook is no exception. The quality of the paper is exceptional but could be better. The sketchbook is excellent for pencil drawings and holds up pretty well with watercolor and tempera paints (bleeding is present). However, I am only rating this book 4 stars because the shipping time took longer than i expected and the book arrived slightly curved/bent (probably a product of handling while being shipped).

First off this is NOT a Pro Art book it is a Premiere book by Nicole. I don't know if the seller ran out of Pro Art and started selling these or what?
Either way, I am NOT mad. This is a beautifully bound book with 65lb paper and it is acid-free. There is no waxy texture on the paper at all and it is nice and dry with the littlest of texture. There are 220 pages and it is 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches.
I am very happy with the purchase and can't wait to start using this book. The only advice I have is changing the title from Pro Art to Nicole. :)

Great for pencil and ink. It doesn't bleed through, with markers you may see it through the other side of the page. It holds together well. I've bought three already and plan on using this brand for all my drawings to come!

Overall it's a sketch book. It has paper in out to draw on. I use mainly just pencil and regular pens to sketch and draw black and white. What my little issue of this product is the fact it is bowed out pretty good. Not a huge issue but just sits very annoying when I'm using it.

This art book is perfect! The binding and hardcover give the drawings a professional feel. It reminds me of a yearbook in many ways. The pages are clean and crisp which allows the pencil to glide easily without smudges (other than the chosen shading technique). No problems with peeling or binding through daily use/carrying around for over a month.

Initially loved this book. Beautiful paper good size and nice cover. But I've been using it sort of sparsely and the binding is already coming undone? Anyway, good book just careful with the binding.
