I had to change the alternator on my 1995 Lincoln Town Car. As I was removing the old alternator I broke this connector. I ordered the replacement pigtail that costs about $40. Yeah, you know the one. You've looked at it just like I did. Then a couple of days later I saw this one for less than $10, so I ordered it out of shear curiosity. I mean come on, was there really going to be that much of a difference in quality for the other part to cost so much more???
Well, after I got this one from the nice mail lady I compared them side by side - both in their unopened package. Folks, there is NO difference. The parts look and feel identical. They are the same color. The plastic has the same texture.
I conclude that they were made in the same factory. In fact, as I opened the little plastic bags they came in the air trapped within even smelled the same. Think about it. How many Ford Alternator Regulator Pigtail factories could there be in the World? Don't be duped into buying this <$10 part for $40 because of the name brand printed on a 2 cent baggie.
Get this part. You'll be happy. I was and that's saying something.
