Comfort out of the box

I needed a new pair of waterproof hiking boots for an upcoming trip to Iceland and had initially went with the Danner 453 GTX boot. The Danners were promptly returned as they were the most uncomfortable boots out of the box that I've ever tried on, especially around the ankle/calf area. A buddy swears by Danner boots and said they just needed to be broken in, but with my trip only a few days away I couldn't afford to take the risk and end up being miserable the entire vacation. So, I went with the Timberland boots as my second choice and glad I did.

These boots fit perfectly, were true to size, and required absolutely no break-in time. Yes, zero break-in time. The first day I wore them was the day I flew out, and they felt great. Truly waterproof (at least up to a few inches) and sturdy. I put these boots through some abuse on that trip and they held up great. Cleaned up easily too. I'll be buying a second pair.

The shoes are fine and fit comfortably for a few days. The shoe on the right foot developed a crease (after a week of use) which pushes painfully against the phalanges bone joint. The pain is so severe that I could barely walk for more than a few minutes. Judging by the vast majority of positive reviews (and the fact that the other shoe in the pair did not have the problem), I believe I got a defective piece. Unfortunately, I missed the return/refund period by 3 days and am stuck with a non-wearable pair of shoes. For all potential new buyers, I recommend breaking it in sooner to see if your shoes are defective as soon as you buy it.

I've bought several pairs before in warehouse shoe sale and they been magnificent but this pair I bought in Amazon they are giving me too much pain near the fibula. It's on the upper part of the foot that I am feeling the discomfort and I've already used 4 days straight and still feel uncomfortable so I gave them away. The quality of the shoes are not the same as I've bought before on the store.

These boots are cut short in length I'm a female and i wear a 6.5 in men . So I purchased a 7 but it was too short so I got a 7.5 it also rubbed my big toe. There's something wrong with this boot. I always purchase timberland boots for the winter.

These boots are very light. They feel like sneakers on your feet. I work as a delivery driver so I'm on my feet all day. The boots offer zero protection against water or something falling on your feet. I suggest speaking the shoes with a water repellant or using bees wax to keep it water, that's what I did and it helped for rainy days.
The boys look awesome, but if your very active they do not last longer than 6 months at the maximum before the rubber wears out and your toes fall out. Overall I like the boots and the grip but wish they posted longer.

They’re a little tight around the toes but that’s not the biggest problem. They started to rip on the inside where the back of the heels is. This caused my socks to rip in that area too.

best shoes i ever gotten. cant believe hor great they are. fit is perfect, wore them with a pair of wool sock n went to the grand canyon and valley of fire. walk in this baby for 3days in dersert sand , over rocks, climbing over all kinds of stuff. my feet did not feel a thing, no pain , very comfy. at the end of the day my body was tired but my feet felt great. great pair of shoes. wore it in 30 degree weather and my feet was warm. 6 stars.

I wear these shoes for work as a letter carrier. The size were as expected and the day after they arrived there was a heavy storm in my city. They stood the test and my feet stayed dry. I will update this review in a few months to see if they hold up. My last shoes cost almost twice as much, timberlands as well and lasted over a year of heavy walking. Lets see how these more affordable ones do.
