The T9900 is the last of Intel's Socket P/478 Core 2 Duo processors. I replaced the stock T3400 in my Dell Studio 1737 with this CPU & it performs perfectly! Highly recommended if you want to replace your old, slow stock Socket P CPU!

Also highly recommend upgrading the RAM & hard drive if you really want to breath new life into your laptop.

I have a Dell 1545 Laptop with 2ghz. CPU. It was ok for watching youtube and other videos and regular Internet perusing, but when I tried to use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CC 2015. The laptop choked. After installing the t9900 what a difference! Now a quad core it's not, but to be able go mobile and edit pictures I've taken on the cheap! Its awesome. I am very very pleased with this cpu!! I would recommend it to people thinking of upgrading their laptop who like me don't want to spend a lot of money!!

Oh goodness! this made a very noticeable difference in the performance of my Laptop. Rendering videos is faster, moving large files is faster, system seems overall happier!

also, besides the bump in speed, i got this for hardware virtualization. Before running simulators was slow and often crashed, now the difference is like 1200% better. No seriously, i have readings.

definitely something i recommend.

More than you might think!

I am running this in an old ASUS ROG lap top and their built in clocking apps/software will get this thing up to insane MHz's that you wouldn't believe so no point posting them but the temps never go above 72-75c had a couple bursts to 85c but that was a fluke and the numbers were totally insane, had to force it manually to never go above thresholds again. It honestly recorded well in excess of 14kMHz, how accurate idk, but it goes to half that all the time in short bursts and has been for a long while with no temp problems. I have an extra so I am just watching. But it will run in the 3.5- 4.5 range at 45c all day long, is right now.

Excellent replacement for P8400

I got this for my Gateway FX P-7805U to replace my P8400 2.26 GHz processor and it was pretty simple installation. The shipping and customer service was excellent whenever I had an issue and they took care of it right away. Plug and play for the install, just make sure you put proper amount of thermal paste as well for the temperatures. I have the Intel burn in test for CPU's and I did the full 2 hour load test on this CPU and the temperatures was stable and never crashed on me. All the tests passed on the burn in test. If u can't over clock with your mother board and BIOS, don't waste your money on getting and Extreme processor when this one will work just fine.

My gaming frame rates on certain games went from 18FPS up to 35FPS and my RAM wasn't maxed out on the speeds and from the install of the new processor my windows experience on RAM went from 5.9 to 6.6. My CPU went from 5.9 to 6.6 on the windows experience. All is good!!! Would recommend buying from these guys.

The processor arrived quickly and after being installed worked perfectly. Going from an Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 to the T9900 has brought new life to my aging laptop.

As everything worked out and the unit arrived undamaged, I don't feel the need to knock a star off for the packaging, but it was definitely NOT sufficient. The CPU was put in a cheap plastic tray, then that was put into a small bubble-padded envelope. While none of the pins were damaged, a few of them had actually punctured the plastic tray that was supposed to protecting it. Had it landed at the wrong angle during shipping, the CPU could have easily been crushed or snapped - or had pins bent/broken.
